The Elder Thing's had many forms of advanced communications in the days when the icy city found by Professor Dyer and assistant Danforth in the Mountains of Madness was thriving. In those days the Antarctic was a steaming jungle, filled with wonders and terrors. The Elder Things thrived, hunting the animals, feeding on the natural bounty of the young Earth. And they had many different visual mediums. And with that came entertainment, which led to the inevitable commercialization, all for a few star shaped green stones.
