My Underdeveloped, Overreaction To Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

I just realized he has dynamic hair thats why him jumping out the helicopter looks like that.

He looks like the first rendition of Frank from the original reveal trailer.

I don't think this Frank's face is bad, his hair is truely wild though. Though a friend of mine pointed out to me that the graphics look near exactly like a Yakuza game, it's wild.

GOD I HOPE THEY AREN'T INJECTING ANY ASPECTS OF DEAD RISING 4 INTO THIS REMASTER (I got word it's running on a more up to date version of the original engine). I don't want this game killed again because they didn't learn from their mistakes. Edit: The conversation below is probably the stupidest to take place on this platform. It's just as stupid as that Paper Mario OST one

You're absolutely right about the tone. The last half of that trailer with the awkward voice reveal and jazzy music also made me raise an eyebrow. I hope they're aware that Dead Rising was pretty horrific in alot of its aspects and that fans are here for it. The story and overall aesthetic kept it straight while the goofiness mostly came from the player's approach to gameplay and classic jank. Best case scenario this version brings us closer to the original's vision in ways we didn't think of ourselves.

I genuinely hope this turns out as good as the resident evil remakes

You know what's weird, you could hear abit of TJ's voice somewhere in the trailer during the helicopter cutscene.

If you listen closely…Tj Rotolo is voicing the helicopter pilot. The ultimate pass the torch moment.

I just hope there will be a voice swap mod, still gotta see the gameplay before I decide if I hate this or not

I just hope doesn't included actual shot for shot scenes and dialogue from the original but instead for add new gameplay features and side quest that are fun to do.

They kinda brought back the orge look from the old beta of og dead rising I like it

Hey man! Awesome little review! I really enjoyed watching this and seeing your opinion. I too hope that the new voice is good and I hope there are some slight tweeks to Franks face. Although his face IS growing on me personally. Anyway, Thank you for the vid! (btw TJ was sadly simply not contacted to return as Frank. Hopefully the new voice actor gives this role his all)

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling there's more to this than just a visual overhaul, if it was just that Capcom would have no reason to keep us in the dark, this trailer shows almost nothing. A whole new voice cast may indicate a change in tonal direction. And or maybe some new optional scoops? Cut content? That sort of thing. Regardless you never know, there may be a classic audio option. I'm hoping to mainly see just QOL changes, as I too think DR1 is a fine game. Checkpoints, multiple save files and better AI, pretty much what we got as the series progressed. And maybe a Hard or Classic mode that gets rid of all that. Regardless I'm super hyped to get this, and I can't wait to hear more of your thoughts!

I'm just happy we are getting a new Dead Rising. As long as it doesn't turn out like what happened with 4. I'm all in for this.
