There is a Day Live | Lou Fellingham

Published 2024-05-31
There is a day is a much loved song, written by Nathan Fellingham and made famous through ‘Stoneleigh Worship’ and the band PHATFISH.

It is a song that exudes hope, touching on a theme which can sometimes be neglected - our future resurrection when Jesus comes again. Nathan would describe the writing of this song as his most significant worship songwriting experience, having been overwhelmed by a powerful revelation of death being defeated and of being with Jesus forever. The chorus’s lyric contains his honest and heartfelt response ‘Oh Yeah!.’ Lou’s voice has long been associated with this treasured song, and this new live rendition captures her soaring vocals and poignant articulation of a wonderful theme. Recorded at COM church in January 2024.

LYRICS:
There is a day that all creation’s waiting for,
A day of freedom and liberation for the earth.
And on that day, the Lord will come to meet His bride,
And when we see Him, in an instant we’ll be changed,

The trumpet sounds, and the dead will then be raised
By His power, never to perish again;
Once only flesh, now clothed with immortality,
Death has now been swallowed up in victory.

(CHORUS)
We will meet Him in the air,
And then we will be like Him,
For we will see Him as He is, oh yeah.
Then all hurt and pain will cease,
And we’ll be with Him forever,
And in His glory we will live,
Oh yeah, oh yeah.

So lift your eyes to the things as yet unseen
That will remain now for all eternity.
Though trouble’s hard, it’s only momentary,
And it’s achieving our future glory.

  • Yes, Jesus is returning very soon❤Bible prophecy being fulfilled now before our eyes. Jesus told us what to watch for prior to His return so that we will know He’s on His way. It’s all happening now. All eyes on Israel - God’s prophetic time piece. We’re going home soon. MARANATHA!

There is something about this song (its’s use of scripture, THAT famous solo that sings and cries out, the beautiful melodies and chords, your vocal), that stirs a deep longing inside me for Jesus’ return. It often brings me to tears of hope. Thanks Lou and team for bringing it back again for another generation to proclaim!

Nathan, Lou this song is anointed by the Holy Spirit- conveys life and worship. It’s not about us it’s focussed on Jesus. It’s scripture. It’s true . We will sing it until the day we meet Him when we will sing a new song to Him.
