BMPCC 6K PRO | one year later. Everything I've learned.

This is the best long term "review" sort of video I have ever seen. Excellent work.
  • @thidnascimento
shirt changes deserves thousands of views alone hahaha great video, congrats!
  • @kyneticfilms
Literally the comprehensive review we all wanted and deserved. Thank you!

As someone who works with plastics often (3D printing and boutique keyboard design) Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate strikes me as a very nice choice for a lightweight but strong plastic. For longer than I've been alive we've used Glass Fiber Reinforced Nylon in power tools because its cheap and incredibly durable, the plastic used in the Pocket is just an upgrade on that. Polycarb is a bit more impact resistant than nylon, and the Carbon Fiber refers to the support lattice that reinforces the plastic. The downside to polycarbonate compared to nylon is that it scuffs much easier and is actually quite a soft plastic, hence why it is better at surviving impacts.

Big-hearted man who is not afraid to change clothes constantly

Simple and straight to the point. No filler, just the way I like it. Great job on the video man, much appreciated !

Thank you for getting right to the point without doing a bunch of lengthy intros and thank you for not playing music underneath the talking. I recently bailed on the fk in favor of the Nikon z6. I got tired of working around the camera’s quirks. Glad the 6k is working for you.

    A) How long did it take you to shoot this? 2) How many shirts do you own? C) Did you have each shirt laid out in order of take? 4) Have you consider downsizing your wardrobe so you can make videos faster? E) Nice camera 6) Great review of all you learned G) Would you recommend this over the new G2? 8) Would you recommend this for pure phot shooters or pure video shooters? I) Thanks for the different video take.

  • Thanks for that absolutely excellent video. I'm thinking to get one and your video came along at the perfect time. A fellow photographer from the UK.

Thank you for the great experience review. About the rolling shutter. Turn the camera 90 degrees and the problem is solved if you can crop enough in.

To dedicate that level to costume changes, my hat is off to you sir! Excellent breakdown of the 6K Pro here Christopher. I've been a Panasonic owner/Operator for the last couple of years but I've had a few projects where I've Blackmagic 6K Pro footage to edit into a project. The image is always fantastic but it's a lot of the ergonomics that let these cameras down. Thanks for posting, consider me subscribed 🙂

I’ll give it a miss because I’ve haven’t got He Man arms like you 😆 Excellent and very balanced overview from someone who’s actually used it and a great bit of kit that’s probably untouchable for its price range 👍 Cheers, Dave.

Amazing guide! I was looking for the image of the back of the monitor just to see the ribbon because that was a concern of mine but I couldn't find it anywhere. thanks for that!
