The Japanese Type 99 is an artillery tank that was added in the most recent War Thunder update. It has high velocity shells and a pretty fast reload rate, making it extremely fun to play.

The reason the Type 99 appears to have double the ammo is because its like the early Soviet 122mms. That is to say, the shots are separated by shells and charges.

3:40 it is not 18 rounds, but that is because the top two rows are 17x propellant (the cylinders with no pointy tip), and the bottom two rows are 17x rounds (cylinders with pointy tip). Plus 1 round and propellant in the gun makes 18 Also, please play the Strv m/42 EH

It's a real shame you didn't use the VT rounds. The velocity on them is still high so they are easy to aim, and they turn aircraft inside out. I figure power-bonking CAS would make you like the vehicle even more.

fun fact, every year at the 富士総合火力演習(just a big drill/ PR thing JSDF do every year), JSDF use type 99 to draw the shape of mt Fuji in the air with air burst ammo,you can find a lot of video of this on youtube, really cool trick

This little guy also has some of the best prox-HE shells for AA. They're so fast it's very easy to aim.

Here's an idea for a possibly painful challenge. Play the Japanese I-Go Ko or the Chi-Ha. But you can only use the APHE round. Only having 21mm pen at point blank is certainly an experience.

You should try bringing the m50 into 9.0 ish games. I've had a blast doing that and either get a ton of kills or die instantly. So basically the top tier experience.

The funny thing about this SPH is that it fires British 155 HE rounds, the L15A2 is one of the main rounds fired from the British AS90 SPH.

I’ve been absolutely loving this thing, and I believe it has the highest HE filler of any 155mm in the game with the upgraded L15A2 shell having 14.8 kg of TNT equivalent.

Hey Spookston could you play the T30 it got buffed recently as it’s HE shell now has 9 Kg of tnt. Basically an armoured m109.

I think it's cool that the vehicle has a balcony were you can chill while grilling some tasty snacks.
