I was scrolling along youtube shorts, then I saw a man release a huge Wind Chime like structure. The noise it made when first released was menacing and unpleasant. I wished to know how the structure sounded under more natural circumstances. I looked up Big Bang Windchime and found this video. The sounds the structures make are unique. There is a darkness that rings out and a chill of mystery in the sound. It is beautiful and pwrful to watch and hear. I hope to experience the sound and sight in person someday. ❤

I found several shorts of these chimes in motion and I've been on the hunt for a full-length video of the movement for about 20 minutes 😆

This is everything I didn't know I needed.

I mean... I think this piece of art is beautiful, captivating, and clever in its simplicity, but I've got to admit, I'd hate to live next to it. You'd never be able to enjoy the quiet peace of a simple breeze ever again. And can you imagine it during a raging storm?
  • The filming of the making of this amazing work is an art in itself! Thankyou. Beautiful! Fascinating!

I love this so much but part of me wishes he had tuned them so that when they all crash together they create a huge harmonious or even inharmonious but congruent on some level chord

I couldn't stop watching!! At certain points watching the bars move along with sound felt like being hypnotised and got little drousy! Wow amazing work bravo to the artist and the film maker !
  • This was so immersive. I was mesmerized! I saw a short clip of the chime on Snapchat then had to do some digging, and I am so glad that I found the original source.

I love the wind chime, but I don't know if nature loves it as much

If you are looking for simple footage of only the brilliant sculpture in motion, with no added sound by the video editor, we only get about 2 minutes at the 14 minute mark. Then it is disturbed by added sound again. I really just wanted to see the sculpture in motion, without additional sound and without "artistic" camera shots/ angles. I will never see it in person, so I just wanted an impression of what this fabulous sculpture would be like. I will keep looking.
  • Helo Federic, we are from the future, and you have called upon my people with your movies and Etienne's windchimes. We've come to say, we enjoy your art and that you've left a legacy.
