You won't know whether you like video game development until you try it. If that doesn't happen, join the military for a few years, and then go to college afterwards and have your college be paid for by the military. And don't think that college isn't for you -- you're definitely smart enough to get a degree in whatever you find out that you want to do. Either way, you won't know what to do until you try out a few things, so go out and try things!
