For doing catch challenges, Scyther is a very good Pokémon to hunt down early. It has both good speed (to hit first) and attack (damage), has technician to boost low powered moves, which includes the crucial False Swipe. False Swipe is guaranteed to not KO any Pokémon, instead leaving them at 1 HP, meaning it's incredibly consistent for setting up catches. Also, it's not Ultra Balls that are the primary go-to for crafts. I'd focus on Quick Balls, Dusk Balls and Timer Balls in that order.

42:32 can't say for certain if this is the reason, but when i explore structures i'll either break the chest (if i empty it) or put a block over it (if there's still stuff in there that i don't want) to remind myself that i've already looked in there because my memory is really bad lol granted my trash block of choice is usually something like diorite or granite and not stone, but to each their own
