This is awesome. I am excited to see Shadow and Sonic interact. Since Sonic has a background story and a parental figure he lost, maybe he could somehow get through to him, though not as easily as knuckles. Shadow will be even more stubborn and broken

Gah it always stabs my heart when characters say that line “doing this won't bring them back” Ahhh this was really well done! 🤩

The director(s) actually said that Sonic's whole friendship thing won't work on Shadow cuz he's too mentally broken. So I could totally see this happening.

"IF MARIA DIDN'T GET A CHANCE, WHY SHOULD EVERYONE ELSE?!" Aw, man... I can't even THINK of anything to reply there.

The only thing i can say is no way the next movie gonna be kid-friendly if they manage to make it kid-friendly and really fit the origin story ill be impressed

Okay, but here's something I'm interested in and nobody seems to be talking about it (at least not from what I've seen so far). Maria is canonically Doctor Robotnik's cousin. And in the movie Universe Robotnik is confirmed to be an orphan. So I'm just wondering if a little bit more of his backstory will be revealed during the third movie. Like, what happened to his parents and why did they left him or did Gerald Robotnik even knew about his grandson's existence. Also, Imagine Sonic finding out that Maria, the most beautiful and kind little girl, who wished to live on earth, is Eggman's cousin. I'm guessing he would have the "Are you sure they are actually related?" moment. Idk, seems like an interesting concept to me. (sorry for grammar mistakes if there are any. English is not my first language) Edit: I didn't comment on the dub. It's awesome. I love it :)

Well hey at least Movie Sonic can sorta relate to Shadow's pain, he lost his MOTHER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD

I think that for Shadows origin story in the Sonic movie universe could be somewhat like this: Gerald, while searching for a cure to Maria’s cancer, finds an ancient temple of Long-Claws clan that shows carvings of an ancient warrior very much similar to Sonic in many aspects. The carvings describe the warrior as a brave and compassionate soul that fought on the side of the owls, fighting the leader of the echidna tribe and allowing them to steal the Master Emerald at the cost of his own life. Gerald also finds samples of his DNA, and using advanced technology, cloned Shadow from him in secret, but unknowingly to Gerald, the DNA also had a unique energy source, something that was different from normal Chaos Energy, which could be the result of the warriors fight with the Master Emerald charged Echidna, but it’s generally unknown. From here It’s the same thing as Shadows origin story, but after landing on earth Shadow began to rampage across the planet, until he was captured and kept in stasis so that “they” could study him, thus starting Project Shadow, but at some point it was abandoned. Egg man somehow discovers these files, and kept them in secret as a backup plan to dominate the world, he also only trusted Agent Stone with this information, and keeps it from the government.

I can see this being a scene in the movie, especially since they say that it will be darker than the previous ones

I know he's a bad guy but I can't help but feel sorry for him Losing not only your entire family but the girl you love as well Shadow is so misunderstood he needs help and love I can't wait to see who voices him in sonic 3

I feel like Sonic would reply with something related to HIS loss when he was a child.

Imma say Shadow is gonna have his memories wiped out by the government so they can use him as a weapon, kinda like the Winter Soldier

I love stories that have large fights and even larger emotional baggage so Sonic 3, much like the previous two, seems RIGHT up my alley!

Shadow has gone through hella trauma i mean maybe at the end of the movie they don't have to be friends or anything just respectful allies
