I really like how that headband fits perfectly to the roundness of your head.
  • @jpcfernandes
The 109 EQ tuning you suggest is really good, many thanks!

The new design for the Oracle imho is quite appealing indeed, also somewhat nostalgic: kinda reminds the looks of a brand of asian ocarinas (Focalink / Stein) that was popular years ago, it has that pretty similiar brownish, burnt-wood glossy look.
  • More of a iem than headphone person. That said I've got say that I am loving the meze pros. Super comfortable and love the sound. Great recommendation.
  • @seans5159
I own both iems. The mk2 sounds like it has less soundstage to me. The oracle mk1 is much more spatious to me. The details seem higher though on mk2. I find metal and rock more enjoyable one mk1. Mk2 sounds flat as a piece of paper. It isnt boring though, its just doing what it is supposed to do.

Really surprised about the Neumann NDH30 comment. I just tested it and I'd describe it as an HD600 upgrade with pretty good bass and good soundstage on top. Great tonality and technicals fitting the price. Maybe I need to directly compare to the HD600-series.

Hey Andrew , great video though. Missed your live stream due to timing differences. My question is, how is 109 pro compared to HD650? Yes HD 650 works wonders with tubes but in terms of the treble , soundstaging , fast attack and decay and the reasonable bass quantity but of course doesn’t have the slam and impact I feel the 109 pro is much better in those performances. But of course HD650 has that better warm, lush midrange and amazing vocal detail plus natural timbre that is hard to beat .

It would be good if you could review the Ananda stealth at some point. Currently Wave Theory is the only one I can find who has reviewed it.
  • I bought the 109 pro good match with Cayin RU6 USB R2R dac and a good OCC copper cable.. is good enough for me
  • Ok, I've heard the impedance/sensitivity come up a lot in this video as a gripe. Have you tried something like Ifi's IEMatch? Or any other attenuator? Ifi's has two modes and one is quite strong because it's designed for IEMs. This just may change your life here if you haven't considered or tried one.
  • @emailkenny
Wonder how the Oracle MK2 compares to the DUNU SA6, in terms of nozzle comfort & overall sound 🤔 Oh, he answers that at 15:00
  • for curiosity do edition xs sound better than the variation iem in comparison headphone vs iem ??????? APPRECIATE FOR THE ANSWER THANK YOU !
  • @carlcamper
Where would the 109 go on your Headphone Tier Ranking List?
  • Now I'm torn between the Meze 109 Pro, the Ollo Audio S5X, the Neumann NDH 30 and the Austrian Audio Hi-X65 and of course can't decide which one to buy... If you had to live on a desert island just before doomsday, which one of these would you take with you?
  • @bily9923
A baby's cry is between 5 and 8.5 Khz (usually closer to 5.5 to 6.8 Khz). And biologically we have a physical, anatomical, and neural configuration that pre-conditions us to attend / listen / notice especially those frequencies.🎧
  • 109 could be a good purchase for me. I work from home and wear headphones for about 6 hrs every day. Comfort is the biggest factor for me these days. I can’t wear audeze/rad 0 all day as my neck hurts. I mostly use the u12t out of my hugo2 or wa8 at the moment
  • @V4zz33
Silly question: How does this compare to the Beyer T1 1st gen? Thanks!
