Imagine spending months just animating a Murdoc with no clothes
-
2D: watches memes Murdoc: in his underwear Noodle: “sorry i’m late” Russel: chillin’
-
I love the things the characters do when they’re not playing. 2D looking at his phone, Russel clapping, Murdoc scratching his balls, and Noodle just not being there till it’s her solo
-
sonetimes i forget that 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel are fictional characters
-
2D: what clothes are you wearing today? Murdoc: No
-
Everyone: "Where is Noodle?" Noodle: "Oh hey, sorry I'm late. I didn't want to be here."
-
Imagine not knowing gorillaz and turning this on and you just see murdoc vibing with only underwear and a cape on
-
You know you've made a fire song when the very first lyrics make the crowd cheer.
-
2D is the only artist who can look into the phone during a performance.
-
Murdock's bass has no strap, it just floats where he needs it to go. It's pretty cool.
-
2:12 at this moment i realized just how good the animation is for each character. like, it’s so fitting and realistic.
-
I want to see DARE performed live like this. Seeing Noodle doing her dance routine and having the boys join in would be soooo cuuute😍
-
2D: Where tf is noodle Noodle: Sorry I'm late for the show.
-
I love how Murdoc can just wear underwear and a cape with a hat and we’re all cool with it
-
Gorillaz needs to do another virtual show in 2023 since technology has advanced so much it would be so cool omg
-
I thought this band was just forgotten by the public eye but yesterday morning I heard this song play on the radio and I had to check my phone to see if it was me. The smile on my face realizing it was on the radio felt in human
-
Imagine you got front seats to this and murdoc thrusting at you the whole time
-
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Murdoc scaring the kids..
-
This was WAAYYYYY BEFORE ITS TIME , this performance was great. The crowd energy was great had me hype too no cap.

So I recently found an article that explained why a hologram tour never happened into the 2010s. According to Jamie, a hologram is sensitive to the low frequency of bass sounds so the louder the bass, the more risk of the hologram distorting and falling apart on stage. He said it’s either good quality holograms or a super dumbed down bass concert and that wasn’t an option. Gorillaz music uses heavy bass sounds as their appeal. So it got switched to video performances as of Plastic Beach instead of risking faulty holograms on tour. Plus Damon really wanted to interact with the crowd more after Demon Days.
