  • Ah, the privilege to have such wonderful individuals paint their fantasies in a world that I’ve created— it provides me with the utmost joy and honour. Take it from me to live your most earnest desires. The way to know life is to love many things, dream many dreams, & drift into the passion you revel in. My gratitude, fellow artists of life.
  • I've always sympathized with Vincent because I've been self-publishing writing books and poems for two years- and nothing. No sales. I've reached out to thousands- nothing. . I write poetry, but it's not like instapoetry. I write books, but they're not YA and fantasy, which is what's popular. I have two fans WHO I LOVE!!!! but the lack of recognition is crushing. I feel for Vincent. He was not celebrated in his lifetime, but he picked art. He picked himself instead of what everyone else does, and that's what imma do too even though i feel doomed to be like Vincent
  • @lordkrummi
Not to be dramatic but uh, I would do anything to travel back in time and take Vincent to a British art museum in our time exhibiting his art works just to let him know that he is the greatest painter ever to exist and that we love him so much—😭 Edit: YES this is a Doctor Who reference, I’m glad people noticed it😂
  • @carolinef4419
Have you ever read Vincent’s letters to his brother Theo. This was an artist with such soul, compassion and love for the poorest people. He died far too soon. Trestle theatre once did an extraordinary mime performance of his life using his paintings as the backdrop and an accompanying soundtrack from his letters. Extraordinary!

Note to self: listen to this playlist while walking through an art museum. This is just heavenly. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who wishes he could live in (or at least visit) a Van Gogh painting.
  • @oliviac3120
This is the most magnificent playlist idea I think I've EVER heard of. I'm super interested in art history and Van Gogh is an incredible study. Thank you so much for this wonderful playlist. :)
  • @vikloriot
if you want more of his beautiful world, the movie Loving Vincent might be one of my favorite movies ever. It's an animation film entirely hand painted by 125 artists. A moving portrait, an insight of Vincent's vision of the world
  • @spmoran4703
To quote Don Mc Clean in the song Vincent ' This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you. ' Every painting tells a story . I cry with joy and sorrow looking at the paintings of Vincent . Ironically this wonderful man had died in abject poverty and now his paintings sell for many millions . A cruel world .
  • Whilst listening, I’ve come up with a pov, so read if you want :)) It is May of 1888. You decide that, you should take a lovely trip to Arles, France, since you live so close by. (You take the train to travel) You sit on the train, watching the wind blow through the tall, bushy trees, as the clouds are drifting softly. Soon after, you pass by fields of what looks like uttermost gold, and you feel satisfaction, for you know that you have arrived! (The train comes to a slow, and finally stops) You step off the train, and take a deep breath, breathing in the horizon. All of a sudden, you see someone quickly pass by, who had accidentally knocked into you on the way. You fall over, but you hadn’t gotten hurt. “Deepest apologies, I was hurrying to get to a destination” the person had said. “No worries!” You say, standing back up. You see that the person’s hat, all tattered and worn, had laid there, in front of your feet, so, you pick it up and brush it off. “Here you go.” You returned their straw hat. “Thank you, dear” the person had replied. You look up to see what the person looks like, out of uttermost curiosity. While your eyes adjust, you see that they have gorgeous blue eyes, and astonishing reddish-orange hair, with a short beard, to go along with it. The person had caught you admiring them, and they blushed. “Um- I must go, I have places to be- things to get done…” the person said in a rush. “Wait! Before you go- Oh nevermind” You sighed, only seconds later you realized that the person had forgot a painting! You quickly snatch it, and slip it into your bag, hoping that one day, you’ll see the person again… Later that evening, you wander to a coffee shop, not too far from where you have arrived. You smell the aroma of the strong coffee, and the smoke that has been picked up from peoples pipes. “One coffee, please.” You ask the bartender. “Coming right up.” They reply, smiling. You take a seat, for which moments after, you see a familiar face walk through the entrance. Its the same person that had bumped into you earlier! You quickly jump up out of your seat, and rush as quickly as possible over to them. Shocked, the person had said with wide eyes, “Dearest me?! Is something the matter?” “Sorry for such a quick occurrence! But, I found one of your paintings that you had left behind!” “Oh!” They replied, laughing. “Why thank you, kind soul! I had been looking for it earlier, and it just so happens that YOU have it!” Both of you giggling and embarrassed, you hand them their painting, for which afterwards, you ask them what their name was. “My name is Vincent Van Gogh! It is a pleasure to have met you.” Still the both of you laughing, he waved goodbye, and off he went, into the glistening streets of France, to never be seen again.

Years ago, I went on a cruise and the ship was themed after various artists. Monet, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, and of course Van Gogh. Being an art major at the time, I was in awe. Each room had a different artist motif. And of course, there was a Van Gogh room. It was like walking into one of his paintings. One of the most peaceful and surreal experiences, I've ever had.

to my mind, debussy and van gogh blend into each other almost perfectly. I feel like they're conveying the exact same energy and message through different types of art. There's just something that's intangible and moody in both van gogh's paintings and debussy's works. It feels like floating, and i often think about how debussy's works sound like an impressionist's painting, especially van gogh! i love what you did with this playlist, cheers:)
  • @abbydaicar
PLEASEEEEEE can you make this a series of going inside different artist's paintings? This is definitely my new favourite playlist of yours and I would kill for some Rembrandt and Da Vinci!!!!! :D
  • @djbouncer420
I studied a lot on Van Gogh the past years and I’m really impressed on how accurate the music choice fits the modern days image on this impressive genius.
  • Vincent Van Gogh just, I don’t know, his paintings have always been so close to my heart. I’m sure he’d be so happy to see his paintings so famous nowadays. Oh, man, I aspire to be as great as he is
  • @setting-sun67
I love art with a passion. Even though im a horrid artist, the visualization of the world around you is breathtaking in everyway. Flowers are another one of my favorite things. The way they bloom, the way they vary only from a change in scenery. Van Gogh will always cure my wounded soul in hard times. He reminds me always that even for sad people in life, there's still beauty in it to enjoy and prosper with.
  • @aylinalz662
classical music is way better than lofi at helping me focus, especially this beautiful yet simple playlist.thanks a lot.
  • @levia-chan
Damn, Vincent. Only if you knew how much you made an impact on people's hearts. I am forever grateful for you, I'd never knew how much art means to me. Now I cannot imagine myself not being able to create art ever again.
  • @rgkong8783
I love the aesthetic of the Cafe painting so much, gives me homey and happy vibes.
