In this video I track down Arizona's biggest spider, the Desert Blonde Tarantula, and take a bite to show you just how dangerous this spider really is!

How bad do you think it's going be? Make a comment before and after watching me get bitten.

I really want to show my appreciation for this team and their videos. I'm a pretty big arachnophobe, but this has cut my fear of, at least tarantulas, in half. Could I bring myself to hold one.... ehhhh... but the fear of being bitten is pretty minimal now

Thanks for giving Coyote a break from being bitten all the time 🎉
  • @GraemeSinclair
Mark was like "The males are much more aggressive", the male was like "Whoa, bro, don't you think that's a bit of a generalisation? I'm a pretty chill guy!"

As a tarantula collector i appreciate you showing that tarantulas are pretty harmless and do not want to attack/bite you. Seeing how you were attempting to be bit by an A. Chalcodes i already knew youd be fine. If it was an old world african/asian species than id be worried for you haha.
  • @flinzoblox
Bro said do not try it at home. i wasn’t gonna
  • @TescoTuber
13:12 I like how the male just accepted its fate and also that male tarantula was like “Bro you taste awful, no I’m not biting you.”
  • The fact the second spider was like nope when he wanted him to bite him it was actually adorable 😊😊😊😊

I really admire this guy's courage since I have an irrational fear of spiders

The twist at the end made my 10 year old son a little emotional because of the fact the spider had no intention of biting you and he said that you and the spiders are amazing! Thank you for all you do!

Broo, I appreciate how this channel just getting all the pain from insects and animals just for us to learn
  • @BoredPodcaster
As an arachnophobe, this took most of the fear of these specific spiders away. Of course, neither want to bite, but obviously under certain conditions the female WILL, and the male CAN, but considering the venom isn't that bad, it's really helped me realize they're not as bad as I thought.

The Arizona blonde has a venom that will hurt like a bee sting. This isn’t a bad tarantula. It’s considered one of the most gentle tarantulas in the hobby’s.
  • @SOMNIOHM
Thiiiis dude is absolutely insaaane! I am actually amaaaaaazed how docile these spiders truly are! They do not want to actually bite! (I still cannot get over the sheer size of those fangs!!!)

Can we just appreciate how this guy does this just for us risking himself just to make amazing videos like this, keep up the good work!
  • @andreadudas4334
This man is pure bravery, props to him for risking his life to make us entertained
  • @eckridium
It’s really neat the way he framed his choice of words. Using it to describe the current consensus of them and how it may actually pan out day to day. The amount of effort it took for him to get a single one of them to bite is really telling about their nature. Every situation is different, but at least for these, you literally put them in a situation to defend themselves and it didn’t amount to much. Nice message Mark and team!
