Watching this 40 years later and still can say: What a great show!

That intro was WAY ahead of its time for 1979! Unbelievable!
  • For any millenials watching, this concert was technically cutting edge for its time. The whole video entrance was groundbreaking and so advanced. Diana Ross was the top female star at the time this was filmed.

Diana is an attractive woman but when she sings she becomes beautiful....she smiles when she sings even sad songs and it doesn't come across as out of place...she's got it in spades there will never be another like this girl
  • This is magical! The first black megastar. And to think we are still blessed to have her here with us.
  • Best concert I've ever seen. I've seen many. Not one time did she ever lose contact with the audience. Extraordinary. Exceptional. Incredible. Queen. Teacher. Apex.

I was at this concert. I was 16 years old we were at one of the tables along the stage. I was about the 6th seat from the stage. What an incredible show. 😊

This had to be seen as cutting edge for 1979. I didn't even know they had video screens and could splice like that back then. Have to respect her for longevity and for her perfect showmanship. She knows how to work her crowd.

I attended this show in Caesars Palace during September 1979 as a 22 year old, on my first trip to Las Vegas. Great to see it again.

I have watched this concert countless times ever since I was a kid. I know every song, note, gesture, mannerism. I am now 52 years old. I love Diana Ross!

Her singing in full voice was awesome. At her peak

Now this is what I call legendary and unforgettable. Nothing against the new entertainers but you have to be a star. Ms Ross was and is one of the most glamorous female artists of our time.

Her best opening ever. Over the top, innovative for its time, beauty icon, fashion icon, feminine yet strong and confident. This is actually Diana’s sweet spot. She is a complete entertainer and the mix of hits with dancers, special effects, lighting and that distinctive voice and presence is a magical alchemy.

When I bought my first house I bumped “its my house” like a billion times to the point that my neighbors knocked on my door to ask if this was my house 🤣
  • @ifafore
"What ever happened to that hometown girl"? Living her dreams. Quite motivational.
  • @sierraruns1775
This is concert goals. As a Millennial, we don't have concerts like this. A concert without phones. Enjoying the moment and music.
  • I just love that she's always smiling whilst she's performing, so infectious
