Street Fighter 6 impressed us with its incredible sense of style from the very minute its gameplay was first revealed. Now that we've finally gotten our hands on it, the developer's latest fighter offers more than a gorgeous aesthetic. It also has excellent gameplay, backed by a well-rounded roster and the new Drive System.

With excellent single-player modes like Arcade and Extreme Battle, extensive tutorials and Trials for learning each character, and solid online play, Street Fighter 6 casts off the spectre of its predecessor and kickstarts a brave new era for the series.

Whether you're practicing for hours or matching other players, blow for blow, in Battle Hub, it's all about the World Warriors, the grind to get good and the satisfaction that comes when everything clicks, even if some elements, like World Tour, aren't the best.

  • Street Fighter 6. Tekken 8. Mortal Kombat 1. Oh what a great time to be a fighting game fan.

Essentially, this is an absolutely brilliant foundation, with all gripes sounding like future patch note fixes, making this a perfect Street Fighter release. Briliant!
  • Capcom really outdid themselves with Street Fighter 6, adapting from the adequacy that was SFV they quadrupled the expectations and shocked everybody! World Tour, custom avatars, crossplay, netcode, etc. Who's to complain? This is a masterpiece!
  • The only thing holding me back is knowing down the road Capcom will release a version with all the extra content from between now and then, and I already have a ton of stuff to play.

The first game I’ve ever preordered. Can’t wait for Street Fighter Friday!
  • Great game hoping this brings back more fighting games, would be happy if they did a marvel Vs capcom style game but just with capcom characters so they get free reign

as a casual player, i really do appreciate capcom for adding modern controls to the game.
  • This was an excellent review, thank you, @GamingBolt! 👏🏻

You can queue for rank or casual from the starting menus. You do not have to go to the battle hub at all if you don’t want to. Or while in the battle hub you can also queue while not having to sit at a machine.
  • i’m someone who has never really played a street fighter game. i cannot put this down. haven’t even touched the battle hub or world tour yet. playing classic controls on a ps5 dpad, the specials seemed impossible at first but they’re not bad for me now after only a few hours

Capcom once again proving they’re one of the best gaming companies right now, might even be the best third party company. I have very high hopes for Dragons Dogma 2.

SF5 was an utter letdown at launch, so I was gonna wait for this one to fill out (and drop in price). Glad to hear it's brimming with content. I'm in!

My first street fighter game purchase.
  • Man, imagine Darkstalkers or Marvel vs Capcom with similar effort. The future of capcom fighting games is exciting to think about
