Secret Service Director Resigns After Trump Rally Shooting

Published 2024-07-23
Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle resigned following the grueling grilling over the Trump rally shooting. The news broke seconds after House Speaker Mike Johnson demanded she step down. In an email to Secret Service agents, Cheatle wrote "It is with a heavy heart that I have made the difficult decision to step down as your director." She was appointed in 2022 partly due to the bond she developed with the Bidens when she was part of their security detail during his vice president days.

Imagine being so incompetent that you caused an almost successful assassination attempt AND caused someone to die when it could’ve been easily avoided

I don't feel bad for her. She made a big mistake that could've costed the former president's life.

Trump is 6'1, and his bodyguards were 5'3. Make it make sense 😳

No, she resigned after literally everyone in America said “resign!!!!”
  • @d.a.b.2336
That's ridiculous. She will get a full pension now. She should have been fired, not resigned.

another DEI unqualified hire! let her not be the only one to seek unemployment!
  • @Mr.Davs2216
Kimberly Cheatle is the perfect example of why you don't hire DEI candidates. Hire best people for the job not because someone is a "woman"

She should have been fired immediately after the incident or fired within 24 hours. Her networth is about $10 million dollars and she get pay at $280,000 a year for working in federal government.

Please do not reduce the budget for our federal law enforcement agencies. This may hinder their ability to function effectively. Just a thought.🤔
