Parenting problems: Help! my child’s school struggles remind me of my own | Episode 4

Published 2024-02-16
For parents with learning and thinking differences, like ADHD and dyslexia, seeing your child struggle in familiar ways can bring up old stressors and traumas. The goal of this expert-led series is to help parents understand and navigate their own feelings and reactions, while supporting a child who learns and thinks differently.

Episode 4 is all about why it’s so important — and so hard — to practice self-compassion. Host and psychologist Dr. Johnson will share mindfulness tips to help avoid negative self-talk and how to create your own “self-compassion statement.”
