Lyrics:
If you lose your one and only
There's always room here for the lonely
To watch your broken dreams
Dance in and out of the beams
Of a neon moon

  • I used to listen to this song and enjoy a beer with friends as we hung out at the bar. My life changed when my wife passed and now I can’t listen to this song without shedding a tear. I miss her so much.
  • Lyrics😍 When the sun goes down on my side of town That lonesome feeling comes to my door And the whole world turns blue There's a rundown bar 'cross the railroad tracks I got a table for two way in the back Where I sit alone and think of losing you I spend most every night Beneath the light Of a neon moon Now if you lose your one and only There's always room here for the lonely To watch your broken dreams Dance in and out of the beams Of a neon moon I think of two young lovers running wild and free I close my eyes and sometimes see You in the shadows of this smoke-filled room No telling how many tears I've sat here and cried Or how many lies that I've lied Telling my poor heart she'll come back someday Oh, but I'll be alright As long as there's light From a neon moon Oh, if you lose your one and only There's always room here for the lonely To watch your broken dreams Dance in and out of the beams Of a neon moon Jukebox plays on, drink by drink And the words of every sad song seem to say what I think And its hurt inside of me, ain't never gonna end Oh, but I'll be alright As long as there's light From a neon moon Oh, if you lose your one and only There's always room here for the lonely To watch your broken dreams Dance in and out of the beams Of a neon moon Come watch your broken dreams Dance in and out of the beams Of a neon moon Oh, watch your broken dreams Dance in and out of the beams Of a neon moon😍

This is one of my dad's favorite songs and he swore he wasn't country. He passed a couple days ago and I'll never forget us singing this song in living room or in the car. Or when he would open the door when this was playing just to sing it with me. rest in peace dad I miss you and I love you ❤ I never stop thinking about you
  • I lost my fiancé in September in a car accident. We were 2 weeks away from getting married. I’ve always loved this song but now the lyrics hit way harder and remind me of her. I miss her so much. I love you Michelle ❤
  • I used to be a caregiver of an elderly man every summer while I was in college. I put all his CDs on an iPod for him and we would cruise around town everyday listening to it. Every time this one came on, we would both belt it and every time, as it hit the chorus, I could hear his voice break and tears would pour. I never asked him about it, I would just let him cry sing along with me. I always wondered where his mind went to during this song. He made me love this song!
  • I used to listen to this song after I lost my husband 30 years ago. This is the first time I've listened to it since then. Still makes me cry!😢😢😢
  • This was my uncle’s favorite song. He passed away last night this one is for you, uncle! 😇

I had no idea who Brooks and Dunn were until a couple of months ago when I heard this beautiful song and I am hooked on them and I have a mad crush on Ronnie Dunn! I am English and Country music doesn’t seem to get enough recognition as it should! lots of love from England.XX.Joy.
  • My son passed away in 2009 and this was his favorite song. I cry every time I hear it.
  • This one goes out to all broken hearts out there. No matter what you go through, there's always someone out there for you to help you smile.

The older you get the more you realize country music fits your life more than any other type of music. This song reminds me of my mommas old red ford expedition she had growing up and would play her country jams and i was always like wtf is this, now here i am. 20-25years later with my own family playin these same old jams in my car, while my kids sing along with some of em.

One of my close friends passed last June, and my last memory of him is doing this for karaoke. I still cry when I hear it. I hope you're dancing on that neon moon, buddy ❤
  • I never ever get sick of hearing this song and I never ever will. Thank you Brooks and Dunn for this timeless masterpiece. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
