We are not helping Ukraine to win | Gen. Ben Hodges

Gen. Ben Hodges argues that those who fear "escalation" with Russia, if Putin were to be challenged by the West, are dead wrong. Rather than worry about what Russia will do, the White House should be concentrating on doing all that it can to guarantee Russia's defeat and Ukraine's victory. It is clear that if Russia were to triumph in Ukraine, the results would be horrific for not only Ukraine, but all of its allies.

Gen. Ben Hodges says that despite the overwhelming historical evidence that Russia will not use nuclear weapons, some of Washington's supposed "Russia experts," have been able to convince many in the Biden Administration that the threat of a nuclear World War III is right around the corner. More absurd, argues the General, are the American "experts" who are worried what will happen if Russia collapses - or what will happen if Ukraine liberates Crimea.

General Ben Hodges, who commanded the US Army in Europe from 2014 until 2017, says that Western policymakers need to open their eyes to a hard truth: Russia is only emboldened by the empty phrases we use to describe support for Ukraine, as we are unwilling to say that "we will do all that we can for Ukraine to win."

Unfortunately Mr. Hodges tells the truth. Already from the start, all those debates, NATO, EU, at the beginning of the war, we started sending helmets, vests? It is one big shame. Maybe people in the West need to be confronted directly before there will be a real reaction. What future will we face?
  • @camrenwick
Ben Hodges speaks plain truth. There should be no restrictions on Ukraine?

General Hodges talks a lot of sense, he should be listened to!!!👍🏻💪🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇬🇧

As said, Ben Hodges talks an awful lot of sense, people should stop sleep walking, wake up and take note of what he says.

Thanks for regularly interviewing Gen Hodges, the clearest US military thinker on this war.

Thank you Mr. Hodges. I wish the American politicians were just as intelligent, as you are. Very depressing to day hearing Trumps candidate for vicepresident. His views about the future of Ukraine were a copy of Trumps, even worse. As an European, I am so worried about Ukraine. But of course also about Ukraines neighbours in the long term. I honestly feel, Europe not can trust U.S. any longer. The perspectives are scaring.🇩🇰🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
  • You absolutely right General Hodges ! I was employed with 7th Army Training command and I know you understand the situation well.

I love these videos so much because one person asks a question, and then they let the other person fully express themselves. It's so refreshing.
  • Thank you, Gen. Hodges and Mr. Smart. As an armchair General, sitting here in the US, I find the current situation very frustrating. After the untold amount of money that we, the collective "west," have expended in the last 75 years, specifically to be prepared for Soviet/Russian aggression, I fail to see why we still cower in fear. Russia is no longer a superpower, yet we still treat them as if they are. Their military is weak, compared to Europe or the US. Their economy is destined to crumble. They are the preeminent pariah in the world. And yet, here we are. And our choices in November are the worst we've had in my lifetime, (a 68 year old). Biden at least "supports" Ukraine, although his adminstration's piece meal approach is ridiculous. And Trump is a loose cannon. J.D. Vance as VP? He might as well have chosen Marjorie Taylor Greene, for all the good it does Ukraine

Everytime I listen to the general I come away thanking God he is on our side! So astute and articulate. If ever he decides to run for president...👍😏

I’ll be voting against trump but I still feel terrible voting for biden when he REFUSES to explain (along with the rest of the western leaders) the “limited support” policy towards Ukraine.

    Thanks, Ukraine!!! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦💙💙💙
  • What a wise statement. "This isn't just about Ukraine This is about us, this is about Europe."
  • @T_157-40
Thank you General. As a former U.S. Army and NG enlisted soldier, I have great respect for your views. 100%++ agree with you.
  • @3ast3rn3r
This was obvious from the start. 14 Challengers and 31 Abrams for the summer offensive last year?? What a bad joke!
  • @srb1855
Si vis pacem, para bellum. ⚔️
  • Really insightly...bright, articulate, and educated plus he is on our side. I am a Dem and sooooo annoyed with Biden but Don is NOT the answer. Thanks for your hard work.
