That was great, he's way better with it all than he used to be too, still a fan boy
  • @swites
Pretty cool training under threshold to get the results. Wild hearing him say they never did specific stuff over threshold ever. I just thought you had to. But I like that approach because interval training over threshold hurts!!!
  • @timw4369
It wasn't his wins that were the problem it was his threats and legal actions against innocent people that were. He was a bully and that's a fact
  • @888jucu
Controversy aside the takeaway here is he saying threshold training at around 4mmol lactate was the bulk of his training? Once in the race season the racing would give you the Vo2 max hence no need to add that to training? am I understanding this correctly?
  • He still trained and beat 100 other guys doing the same thing. They quit re running the test because they couldn’t find anyone clean.
  • @mattpowe
wow amazing info. even the comment about 2003 right at the end. great interview
  • @Foxtrottangoabc
So Lance was training just below threshold before the Norwegians ?
  • the question is for what duration is 7W/kg a gold standrad? 20min climb? 30min climb? an hour long TT? Plenty of riders are doing 7+ today for 20min climbs on easier stages
  • Great to see lance on my feed immediate after the early 2024 Greg LeMond spilling the VO2 Mox with the Iorish corly haired feller.
  • @sandthrottle1014
Because he was so good, he beat them in their own dirty game 7 time, that is why many people who understand the dirty tricks in cycling still consider him the LA The GOAT,,
  • @brucegelman5582
Conveniently slid past the drugs administered along with below threshold training.Imagine what concotions Pogacar and others are using in todays races.Makes Ferrari look like a Volkswagon😂
  • Imagine Greg Lemond on EPO with his at 92.5 VO2 max --- hahaha .
  • @squashoe
Still the greatest of all time Lance! Also, how much money did you raise to fight cancer 500+ million? Goat
  • His story was amazing... great up and coming cyclist... get's cancer and he had cancer bad very scary... but recovers by the grace of god and becomes one of the greatest cyclist of all time... one problem he cheated... and I know everyone was cheating... but still the arrogance he went after people not acceptable. And yes those years of Lance on tour were so much fun to watch... I don't think I have watched a whole tour since he left... I just wish they could have caught on to the EPO thing earlier... cycling has almost always been dirty... still was Lance good because he was a great athlete or did have the correct EPO method?
