I kid you not I’ve had 30 plus cars and I’ve never known one to rot like a Mk3 RS Turbo Fiesta.Mine was absolutely pampered in a garage,2 owners, detailed to an inch of its life and it fell to bits literally. The whole fuel filler neck fell into the arch, battery tray went, rear wiper area went and the 2i/RS arch extensions slowly lifted. They command daft money now and my cousin bought 2 a few years ago, one bone stock and one track/ fast road, and has them along with an S2 Escort RST with a Zetec 2.0 Turbo and a couple of GTI-6s amongst others he’s stored away. He always was the smart one.
  • I already own it. My 1998 Peugeot 306 Rallye. You shot a black one way back in the channels early days. Great car, great engine.

Prices for fiestas are insane, but they aren't selling, people need to accept a proper price rather than trying to inflate them. I've been looking for a mk3 fiesta for literally years, just a basic 3dr shell, nothing special. I have seen the same cars for sale constantly at stupid prices, and most are still for sale by the same person years later. Most that have sold have, and not been relisted a week after selling, have sold for less than a grand. Mean while they are mostly sitting and rotting, which is criminal. I have a theory on this. I know the higher marques are worth money, but the base ones aren't really, but I think people advertise them as if they are, then the sellers of the good ones see this, which then means the good ones get priced higher, and so the cheaper ones match again, creating an endless loop of price rises, without sales being made, and only resulting in cars rotting.

cant forget about the saxos and 106s, even the 1.1 versions of them are rising approaching 2k for a good example nowadays 😬

Clio Rsi if you could find one. Cheaper than a William's almost as quick and they felt pretty fast back in the day. Citreon AX GT was also a bit underrated they were good fun aswell.
  • I still have my Fiesta Rs Turbo, it was my first car, bought in 2003 for £1500. Wife has a crazy idea to convert the garage into another room. No chance.

  • Ford over Vauxhall for me, but mrk2 Astra GTE for a hatch but my dream 80's/90's car has to be a 325/328i estate in red with the BBS multispokes. Damn that 6 cylinder sound was sexy late 80's

I’ve got mine.. 309 Gti bought mine in 2008 for £900 and still use it to this day 👌

The colour of the VR6 Highline is Mulberry. 3 door manuals with air con in a nice colour are far more desirable and collectible than 5 doors or automatic gearboxes.
  • BMW,E 36 M3 I got mine at a bargain price and mine is not rotten It’s 98%. Rust free and I’ve now been offered more than three times more than I paid for it. Two years later.

Something bit out their an not easy to find…..Renault 21 turbo Quadra ❤
  • First two cars are RoI not NI so complications definitely there with RoI cars re importing, re registering etc. Worth it though if the car is right. Being a Jordan f1 fan wanted a Jordan Civic in the day but needed 4 doors in those years. These days they're big money and I couldn't get in one anyway having had my spine knackered in a rear ender. 😟 All can do now is look at the damned things 😭
  • not 90s but I think a mk6 Fiesta ST fits in this category of cars. Below 60k miles you're looking at least £4-5K for one in good condition. Wouldn't be surprised to see them going for £8-10k and higher over the next 10 years. The ST500 version will be priceless at some point too I reckon!
  • Gotta be a 5 GT Turbo, had 3.... inc a raider..if only ide have kept 1 😩😩
  • Metro GTI Vauxhall Nova Corsa B GSI and MK3 Astra GSI Fiesta and Escort RS Turbo Escort RS2000 and Cosworth! Citroen AX GT Pulsar GTIR and Fiat Punto GT Civic Type R Starlet Glanza V and finally the Clio Williams I would also include the 205 GTI but someone might point out it was a 80s car and if the AX was I do apologize!
  • Not Northern Ireland, its the Republic of Ireland our plates are UK plates also.
