In this week's video, we battle the heat as we push hard on the wall framing. We continue raising the 10 foot walls of our off grid house build with dramatic flair. We cannot safely lift these heavy 10ft walls with double French door and window headers, so we use the Kubota L47 tractor and snatch block pulley systems. It's sometimes a challenge to find a good fulcrum point when there aren't any trees, but Justin isn't stumped for long.

We have a BIG announcement: the DIY or Die work crew will have a new addition by winter! This does mean that The Muscle is retiring for a bit, but she will offer roasts and emotional support from behind the camera. Justin will find a way to build without her strength, but it will take a little invention.

After sharing our exciting news, we are back to work building walls and battling our old enemy: the Dewalt nail gun. Paslode nails are the only way the Dewalt nail gun works, but because we are working after the hardware store is closed, we have to suffer through the garbage Dewalt nails.

We are glad you have joined us this week as we build our off grid house by hand, at a wonderful pace.

What an exhilarating week it's been for DIY or DIE! Battling the heat and pushing through the challenges of wall framing with such determination truly showcases your unwavering commitment to your off-grid house build. It's incredibly inspiring to see your resourcefulness in using the Kubota L47 tractor and snatch block pulley systems to raise those hefty 10-foot walls. Justin's ingenuity in finding solutions, even when faced with obstacles like a lack of trees for a fulcrum point, is truly commendable. And congratulations on the big announcement! A new addition to the DIY or Die work crew is cause for celebration indeed. While The Muscle may be taking a break, her support and wit from behind the camera will undoubtedly be invaluable. Good use of the snatch blocks as well as the clamps for additional "hands". After Katrina, used those when I was the only one working on the house and it really helped. Love how your kids are helping to on occasion. Congrats on the newbie coming to your family. Great job on the video!

A 20 foot rope tied to the top of the wall and the other end to the tractors loader would have no problem pulling up those walls a lot quicker,, as long as the bottom can't slide off. Pulleys are great, but take a lot of time, which as I recall from one of your previous videos, you don't really have
