It’s really telling how much the culture has changed. So many people excusing Drake stealing from X. Back when talent mattered that would be blasphemy. Now we circumnavigate the gatekeepers and go directly to teenagers who’s opinions are informed and influenced by social media. Social media where “retweet and repost” is the norm.

Drake 100% was antagonizing x at least In the helping hands challenge and some of the other stuff but still to be recognized as a smaller artist by 1 of the biggest in the world is kinda dope (atleast to me)

X and Mo G are the only ones that have gone against drake head on one is dead and the other got beat to a pulp and lost his career. Drake took X song and took a lot of creativity from Mo G. Drake is the Rabbi of hip hop there is a reason he’s at the top and it’s not by accident 🧐

Every artist wants their own style but I’ve hear an artist quote something like, “good artist create, great artist copy”.. something like that but basically meaning, it’s all been done before and many artist are fans of other artist. You take and incorporate it into your style. Also, it’s also a great compliment if someone copy’s you. Dude was young and drake should’ve schooled him on the game than beef with X. Sad story..
