  • @ellieboo1007
You are the only person I have heard say Wet Wet sauce.
  • @lalalanidani
Girl, what... not wet-wet sauce... that's chili oil.
  • @SincerelyNita
Wet wet sauce? This is normal in an Asian household… we do not call it this and it does not translate to wet wet. Wth
  • @jdfutura
They out here colonising chilli oil 😂 Let me guess, those dumpling-looking things she’s eating with the “wet wet sauce” are called “oriental steamed hot pockets”?
  • @sydmaddox8133
Sis! Thats chili oil. Lets not white wash these VERY WELL KNOWN recipies. And yes, im saying this as a white woman.
  • @himitsume
This is chili sauce not chili oil. There is a difference. It's also called WetWet Sauce because there is a brand called ShuiShui (WetWet in Chinese).
  • @SV-lw8jo
So you have just discovered chili oil.
  • @oldbay2
No you can’t use American chili flakes. Go to your Asian market and get chili flakes from Korean or china , preferably ( sichuan province) . You won’t regret it. Thanks for posting and spreading other ethnic cultures. Brings us one step close together as a people!
  • I don’t care what it’s called, I’d just like to have the recipe

This is chili oil! Chili oil comes in different variations but it is called CHILI OIL! When I make chili oil sometimes I put garlic sometimes onion sometimes soy sauce- it depends on what I want the flavors to be. 😊

I can see myself explaining what I ate to my gastroenterologist
  • @Saturiiii
I was gonna go in on her but the internet never disappoints
  • @toriamigo
The sauce i make is very similar, but it has gochujang and no hot oil, just a little sesame. Its great for stews, dumplings, ramen.... perfect

She says at the beginning that she got the recipe from Tictok and that this is what they were calling it there! Wet Wet Sauce! So why are you mad at her for introducing it by the name she found it under on Tictok? Why not go over to Tictok and tell them to stop calling it Wet Wet Sauce? She didn't name it that a bunch of Tictok chefs named it that!🤯
  • This is basically Chinese Chili Oil. You can swipe the star of the recipe (Korean Pepper flakes) for any papper flakes. Doesn't even need to be asian.

Everyone is after her. She got this from tik tok. The Asian kids call chili oil wet wet sauce. Who cares. Cultures are meant to be shared by everyone. Growing up,shoes outside the house or at the front of the house was predominantly an Asian custom, and my non Asian friends were intrigued by my family customs. Since the internet, everyone adopted this sanitary custom and call it their own, and that’s okay. Think of St. Patrick’s Day, everyone celebrates it, at least in the 1st world countries and Christian countries. Uniquely Irish, we non Irish can enjoy it too.
