This was not done by me. It was done by Alex "aresake" Eustis.

Author's notes:

"After watching StuporMan's run I decided the time on this level could be improved by mixing up the unit choice instead of just using hydralisks. In fact, this version doesn't use any hyrdas at all, but a combination of lurkers, zerglings, and mutas. Also noteworthy is the early expand trick at the beginning.

Sub-9 is possible; I have gotten as low as 8:45 in my practice runs using load/save. But, this is as close as I managed to get a single segment."

hehe incredible. I barely got a spire up yet and this guy's already done.

I replayed this today using that expansion strategy. It definitely made this mission a lot less annoying to play. =)

Arthas and Kerrigan are the same. The Undead and the Zerg are very similar, especially since the Terrans, Protoss, Humans, Orcs, and Elves all get together and take em down in their respective games.

Ah, now i remember this mission. I'm horrible when it comes to playing the Zerg. After a while i got bored on trying to attack the terrans from land so i redid the mission and build bunch of Mutalisks and snipes every single one of those scientists that way. You just need to keep on microing them and in a while you are able to do it that way. Not the most efficient way to do it but at least i thought it was fun.

Awesome. When I first reached the end of the Zerg campaign years ago, I don't remember thinking of this mission as kill the scientists ASAP for a quick win. I must've built up first. :D

    1. move hydras at 6 2. mutate a drone at 12 and rally to the bottom 3. move zerglings at 12 and 3 and 4(to hydra at 6) 4. build a hatchery at 12 and remove lurkers 5. use hydras at 6 to remove lurkers at 6 6. move hydras at 6 the upper passage until a drone come 7. kill that drone and move hydras to the minerals and kill the coming drone THEN RENAGADE ZERGS WILL HAVE NO EXPANSION

Yea, i just tried that a couple times and the top base is attacked by 3 ultralisks. You must have got lucky with this to not be attacked up top afterwards. I took out the ultralisks with 8 zerglings and 3 hydra's, somehow, but they just came at me with more hydra's and lurkers.
  • @LittleYoschi
how much terran commandocenter give's on this mission?
  • @ronnyrizat
why didnt those hydras hammer that drone at 0:42
  • @grazzer88
Huh, when i grabbed the base up top like this i was attacked by ultralisks.

@tryingtogetanameomg or maybe its a nice "familiar trick" to something old and classic but you just can't recall from where :). Blizzard are creative enough ;p.

there are candy in the water! ~3:30
  • @KoDoRiN
arent those scientists are smart enough to HIDE IN THE BUNKERS!!?!
  • @GaleStream
I know I start off with one, and then enemy mutas come and wreck half my main base. I take care of my other bases that get destroyed. Hate this mission.
