This month's video is just a quick walkthrough of Santa Monica Pier in of course, Santa Monica here in Los Angeles, California. Santa Monica Pier is located just north of Venice beach and features alot of cool places like Bubba Gump Shrimp co, Pacific Park, Pier Burger, Maria Sol, and many other neat businesses. It is also the end of the route 66 trail. (Featured in Forrest Gump)

The first Pier in Santa Monica dates back to 1875. However the current Pier today was built in 1909 and back then its main purpose was actually for sewer pipes. In 1916, a shorter but much wider Pleasure Pier (AKA Newcomb Pier) connected with that Pier.

In 1976 the Santa Monica Pier was a designated historic landmark. Today it is of course one of the most iconic places in the Los Angeles area.
