Today we're "reviewing" the GameMAX "Hype," which DEFINITELY ISN'T inspired by a Hyte Y60. The Hype case is anywhere from $100 to $200, depending on where and when you look, and has poorly copied nearly every aspect of the Hyte Y60. We haven't seen a ripoff this egregious previously, and that's because even the product page has literal copied & pasted text from real Hyte's product pages. This is part of our new case testing methodology that we debuted for 2024. You can learn some basics in our Fractal North XL review below.

We previously reviewed & benchmarked the Hyte Y60 here:    • Impressive Quality: Hyte Y60 Case Rev...   -- comparatively, it seems as if the Hype is a step beyond a Hyte clone.

They’re 100% banking on people mistaking this one for the original, thank you for getting the word out.
  • @flexiblefelix
Man, really expected more from a brand who's been making cases for 10, 15, 10, 15, 10, 10 years now
  • @Redslayer86
I've been following you for 15 years and this video is probably one of the funniest I've seen in the entire 10 years I've been watching you.
  • @Cidriel
"it frequently fails to respond to the remote for... mysterious reasons. the reasons are: it sucks." I laughed at this for a solid minute , thank you for all you do
  • @Psykomancer
Not gonna lie, naming something "Diamond COC" is an absolute power move

"Be ready, be gammer" This is gonna be good.
  • "It's not the case we needed, but the case we deserve. Be ready, be gammer." - Stevve Burrke, Gammer's Nexxus

I just have to say whatever shutter speed you're using to video those fans on the Arctic cooler especially and even the other fans during the video is basically perfecto. It makes those fans look incredibly smooth and for some reason at least to me really really relaxing I could just literally sit and watch those fans spin it looks so nice and so smooth great choice could just be happenstance but seriously it it looks amazing they look so nice when they spin

I legit just purchased a Hyte Y70, and my heart was in my throat when I saw the thumbnail. Luckily, I'm not a gammer, and I got the right case.

“Created for those for dare to win” sounds less like a slogan and more like a passive aggressive threat.
  • @toonnut1
So pleased to see case reviews starting again it's been far too long! Thanks for this
  • @MyBigRed
Oh I love my Diamond Cooling and OverClocking Kase. It came in black and it's HUGE. Lots of room for extra components and cooling.
  • @FaceyDuck
They somehow made a COC as hard as diamond. That’s impressive.
  • @elegymusic
nothing goes harder then the Diamond COC

One of the most entertaining, yet also informative, videos I have watched recently. Thanks for the review!

Reminds me of the episode of Reno 911, when the author of a novel is pleading with the Fire and Sheriff's dept. to save his in-progress work that was clearly plagiarized and they wouldn't do it. In fact, after the Sheriffs asked him to give them a quick synopsis of the story and had concluded that it was too similar to the film, "Frequency," the Fire dept. shows up and he turns to them, pleading. The Sheriffs interject and says, "...just listen his plot," to which the Fire dept. Concludes, "Oh, it's like the film, Frequency!" And ultimately also decide against rescuing his work lol.

"Gamemax. Why does that name sound familiar?" Glances nervously at the power supply my roommate gave me which is currently running OOOOHHH NOOOOO...

I have the Gamemax Draco XD (that's the name). I got it when i built my first PC, the main reasons being: - I didn't have a job in 2020. - It was cheaper, since cases and any pc parts in the southest part of latin america (where i live obv), were more expensive due to the pandemic, and adding that the prices were (and are) very high because of transport and customs fees. For a lot of context, i built my pc with a 9th gen i5, 16 GB of RAM, and a Gigabyte MoBo for ~$200-$250 at the beginning of the pandemic. Let's say any good brand of cases: It costed about 3-4 times as much as this case(~$30), while i had very very very limited budget (was 17 and very lazy). The case is not great, but it did a good job for my first system. Now I will have to update to a well-known, well-trusted brand now that i have a more "air" hungry system. thx for reading my essay
