GTA VI online should be different

Hello everyone and welcome to the channel. In this video I would like to have a conversation about the next Grand Theft Auto Online. Well, less of a conversation and more of a ramble. GTA Online has become a juggernaut, and has developed into something completely different than it's original vision. Grand Theft Auto VI is around the corner, and I know we've only had one trailer for the story, but I can't help but think about these things.

Thank you all for watching! Have a great day!

GTA online is the game version of the Fast & Furious movie universe😂 started off stealing cars and racing, and ended yp doing bank heists and using space tech.

Today's GTA Online is just an almost unplayable mess with so many phone calls telling you to buy all kinds of garbage you're not interested in with money you don't have, everyone flying around and killing everybody...seriously wtf!
  • I really hope GTA 6 online is more grounded and simple. I also hope there’s a roleplaying mode or something.

I think it would be better to make it more RP like and stop surrounding every mission or heist around the fact you need a damn oppressor or some shit that flys and auto locks to complete it. They need to get back to their roots bruh

Seeing that bike in the back of that pickup makes me hope that gta6 has a new mechanic that allows you to habe multiple vehicles out at a time and even trailers to store or transport them.
  • I remember the old days of first GTA Online, I created this "race" which was a circule made with fences, so u stick a piece of adhesive tape to the remote control and then leave it there to make 50 laps and get money and experience😂😂
  • The Diamond Casino Heist is the best thing to ever happen to GTA Online, if they can give us multiple heist experiences like that it’s a win

My only issue with gta online is the games economy. Car prices are ridiculous and customization makes you spend extra thousands of dollars going back and forth trying on different parts before leaving the shop, gun prices insane, single items of clothes can cost thousands of dollars and you don’t even get to test it out first before buying an outfit same as the cars. All in all, I’m forced to either get on and do constant heists back to back for the entire session even multiple days back to back just to have a few million to have fun or just get in one of my old cars and drive around trying to not spend any money. And that few million can go even fast than it comes

I love the idea of the new GTA Online using the roles concept from Read Dead Online bc it makes absolutely 0 sense that I’m a big CEO in my office one moment then a biker gang leader the next in order to access different businesses.

If i see an oppressor or something in gta 6 imma genuinely start tweaking

I don't judge you for being a GTA online player, I judge Rockstar for not understanding the difference between the experiences of GTA online and RDR Online that players are seeking. I play GTA to earn loads of money as fast as possible, be a meglomaniac with tons of money from doing heist, scores, selling crates, drugs ect. I play RDR to slow down, go hunting to get the outfit I want and just chill. Rockstar tried to make RDR Online experience as close to GTA Online as possible, cause that was the "success formula" for GTA Online to sell Sharkcards. Outsfits in RDR Online are so juxtapose to the time period compared to RDR 2 Singleplayer, and so is the experience. I wish Rockstar knew the separate playerbase

damn that music in the background never fails to make me depressed

I never got to experience GTA Online in its early days but by the way you describe it, it sounds like a vibe. Yeah there wasn't much to do, but it would be so great to experience GTA Online where everyone is still figuring out the online mechanics, you and your friends are just booling, robbing stores, driving around having a laugh, occasionally getting into gunfights with other players and not having to deal with comically overpowered shit all the time The futuristic shit, the businesses, the inflated pricing model just make the game straight up unplayable for me

In retrospect, the most fun I had with GTAO was the year or two after the heists started. The game still largely felt like GTA, doing crime based missions for underworld bosses. The early missions were and still are fun to me, they were simple but true to what GTA is. The tense drives leading up to climactic gunfights, and the fallout. Free roam was street crimes and the playing field was largely even, nobody had future tech sky nukes or VTOLs. When everything started turning into actual second jobs is when it all went to shit. "Gotta make my deliveries, so I can harvest my product, so I can do my setups, so I can grind another cycle..." as R* keeps inflating their in game economy and gouging their players, for shark cards or whatever. I waited so long to become a "CEO" for instance because I just couldn't deal with making my character a CEO. I'm not even really a roleplayer, but I'm playing the game to be a CRIMINAL, not work a second job. That's what it feels like now, a job to play. All I ever wanted was a GTA story/experience with multiplayer co-op, and a free roam with interesting things to do. Red Dead Online was so much closer to feeling like that but they dropped it to focus on stuffing GTA with gaudy junk.

I very much dislike all the futuristic and over the top military stuff but at least I can somewhat ignore all of that, since I exclusively play by myself in invite ony lobbies. A thing I cannot ignore however is the HUGE inconsistencies in GTAO, because why am I essentially still just an errand boy, eventhough I run a very succesful criminal empire, own a slew of properties/vehicles and have 50M in the bank? I recently started on the First Dose missions to set up an acid lab, and it annoyed me so much that I was basically just their mercenary, also why the f*ck am I referred to as "Fresh Meat" when I'm a seasoned vet in the SA drug business? I shouldn't put my life on the line for a bunch of weird acid fueled cultist neo hippies, I should instead have the option to take what they have and eliminate them, since I view them as a competitor moving in on my turf and they seem too big of a liability to work with. Another example of this inconsistency is the fact that I can't decide how to run my own damn businesses, instead I am forced to deliver vehicles, drugs and guns myself in a very rigid, repetitive and inefficient way, completely ruining the immersion and and fun of the game. I know that some of this stuff is down to limitations of hardware and other things, and that the different parts of the game all have to be accessible to all players regardless of seniority, playstyle etc. so all the businesses and activities have to be kinda generic to fit that. A lot of it also has to do with Rockstar/Take-Two making stuff more grindy and less fun on purpose to sell more sharkcards, but I still really hope that the next version of GTAO gives you more freedom and allows for more immersion and roleplaying. I probably shouldn't expect much from the new GTAO though, since I had similar hopes for RDO and they totally screwed that game over lol.
  • gta online has proved to be corporate theft auto online rather than a gta and its been a minute
  • @MichaelWalker345
I think roles should be added to GTA 6 online. Say for example, we get crime syndicate roles and lawmen roles. The crime syndicate roles come with the crime boss and/or gun/drug/human trafficker, and crime fixer roles. Lawmen roles come with police officers, Judge, Sheriff, DEA agents, and detectives. Basically it turns the online into a role play game. However players must pick either crime or law and they can’t switch over unless they quit out of the role. Rockstar can then for the new update do something medical wise by letting players role play as doctors, paramedics, and surgeons. The purpose of all of these roles is to help provide a fun experience and online ecosystem rather than everyone just doing random stuff.

Gta 6 should have an actual story mode (not missions) and you should be able to do basically everything you do as a noob in gta online like the store robberies you talked about. Basically realistic crime, not stopping a world dooms day event. There should also be an honor/respect system similar to red dead and the more crime you do, the more notoriety you get from other criminals as well as the police. That would be my ideal gta online.
  • @surge9407
I really hope it actually ends up feeling like your a low level criminal clawing your way to the top with detailed heists
