I have lost 90% of everything I loved, dad, cat, best friends, almost completely everything. So now I'm relapsing and gonna go to rehab to get better. when i was a kid i saw galaxy express 999 on the scifi channel and that kiss scene affected me so much, it felt for the first time i was watching a real romance. galaxy express 999 is just such a hidden classic. wish it was easy to find the english dub from back then.

I think this was probably the first animated movie that I had seen as a kid. The scenes haunted me for weeks.

Lovely music. I regularly watched Galaxy Express 999 in the 90's as a little kid, while waiting for mom to come home from work. Sometimes she would come home and ask me why I'm crying. The emotions this anime evoked were so magical, and sometimes brutally painful.

I miss this kind of edit that i would see in 2019 or 2020. I really miss 2019 because it was the last good year before the pandemic, the content was still good, good content.

Clicked for the thumbnail and stayed for the cideo as a whole. My friend loves old songs like this and even puts this on from time to time. So i always correlate this song with our late night drives just going to wherever we were going.

Galaxy Express 999 has to be my favorite anime of all time, I've watched the 3 movies and the original tv series, i can connect to Tetsuro in many ways mainly in the early passing of my mother, this show helped me understand that death is a normal thing and should be accepted. This series and it's sister The Galaxy Railways touch on alot of topics of loss in most episodes and accepting death and living life and enjoying it as much as you can, since you only have one chance to do so. People may hate on it for its outdated animation and weird inconsistencies alot of the time but at its core the story is genuinely really good.

Why did anime studios stop doing these kinds of beautiful visuals I would never understand
