daily machinist activities include: pooping (in the coolant tank), drinking (the coolant), and hurling random stuff all over the shop

I find it funny how BNSF requested you blur out the logos. Not like there's gonna be thousands of railfans watching this video who know the BNSF paint scheme well!

Hey man love your videos since I’m in NS territory it’s nice to see the power out west where you are and plus I think I could sit down all day and just watch your videos love the stuff you do man keep it up❤️🚂🤟
  • Why are all of the “BNSF” logos blurred out? It’s pretty obvious what they are. Around 1995, a coworker and myself got to take a tour of the Souther Pacific Diesel Locomotive Servicing Facility on the Northside edge of downtown Houston. It was a huge place and a really cool experience. Sometimes during lunch, I would ride my motorcycle over there and just watch all of the locomotive traffic.   Unfortunately, after UP bought SP, it was closed down some years later, leveled and new condominiums erected there in its place. Sometimes, “progress”, isn’t always progress in my opinion.

Now we know why NS derails so often: they employed pink teddy bears as engineers.

As someone who was born and still lives in Galesburg, I never knew what the yard looked like from inside! Thank you for this interesting video!

8:41 NOTE: That this clip will have some Strong Language and I liked how the workers were talking about the Butter and the Teddy Bear. Another Note: That BNSF Requested to blur the BNSF Logos including the Patch on the Fallen Flag Engines when you are filming in the Railyard.

I'm going to start a GoFundMe for that War Bonnet and send it to the paint shop. ASAP!
  • I live in Fulton County in Illinois and I'm pretty much near Galesburg, just a bit of a drive away
  • VERY COOL that you got that kind of access. Thanks for posting this. =)

Nice Video! Been needing to get to Galesburg at some point!

Amazing! Just so awesome to see the Galesburg shops! Especially cool to see the Santa Fe locomotives in there! 🤩❤️😎
  • Okay now this is just awesome! Makes me wonder what all is hidden around the Juniata shops here in Altoona in some of the buildings and such, if only I could look around, a while back a Dash-9 or AC44 went by with a Conrail long hood door, so now I'm wondering if there's just a stockpile of old Conrail parts still around 😂 it's unfortunate that railroads have to be so secretive, but I guess it makes sense because of safety and liabilities. Anyways, I loved watching this, I'm glad you could get into there, seems very exciting, I'd love to know what some of those guys think of the older stuff that shows up.

Wow! Great Video! I've gotten an interest in the SD70MACs recently, I really hope they get into preservation someday! I want to maybe try and do one, if I can...
