  • He's fine, we met upstairs, says he's a big fan of mine, and I'm like "dude, I'm a big fan of yours!" Like what he did to my music, genius!!

My Dad died when I was 14 in 1974. The Play Bach vinyl LP was a big deal memory of my (too short) time with him - he played it all the time .I always wondered how he got interested .. listening to this has taken me right back to childhood days

As a 16 year old I played this music to my friends...I would go and see him live when ever the opportunity arose...I am now 73 and he still gives me joy - alas not to be seen and heard again live....But Jaques, what pleasure you still afford me......play for the Angels....
  • What I am thinking is that J.S.Bach is so perfect that whatever style we play his music always is going to sound perfect. J.S. Bach was not a human but an Angel sent by GOD.
  • As a young child, I listened quite often to PLAY BACH as it was one of the first records my father owned. I guess it went into my blood circuit somehow. Whenever I hear Jaques Loussier play Bach, I feel young again.

My father loved this music so much and as I child I didn't get it. Now I listen to it and I feel my father being present and I can even smell the unforgettable perfume of my childhood house.

..I love jazz Bach .. no one plays it like JACQUES LOUSSIER or sings it like CHRISTIANE LEGRAND.. (SWINGLE SINGER'S) May they both RIP...

Bless you,,,,I wish you well in your resting place !
  • Bach is my favorite composer, but this may be my favorite interpretation of his music.

Johann Sebastian Bach is the absolute genious as a composer in his time and his music sounds modern until today. Jacques Loussier is his congenious interpreter in modern style. I was really flashed when listening to Jacques music already in the 1980's. For me he is without any competitor and unreached in his style of music until today :-)
  • @haus-am-meer
Loussier has been the lead to classical music in my youth (listening mostly rock & jazz)
  • IL FAUT LE RÉCONNAITRE : LA MUSIQUE DE BACH ÉLÈVE NOTRE ESPRIT, VERS UN SEUIL LUMINEUX, GUIDÉ PAR LES MAINS DE LOUSSIER...!!!
