Thank you so much dude I've been struggling for so long cuz of this issue and you just fixed it
-
Could you guys please add the version number of your quests to the titles? I am SO tired of looking for solutions for a Quest 1, only to get solutions for quest 2 (After watching the video). They are so different in specs, the version number is crucial piece of info

Thank you brother! Worked after the update.
-
It’s coming up as a MTP usb device what should I do
-
hi, i purchased quest 3 yesterday, i want to copy files/movies from pc to quest 3,but it is too difficult as my pc doesnt have type c port. is there any way to copy files from pc to it free?
-
broo i didnt realise that i wasn't on the latest version of the quest 2, thank you tho
-
yes, finally resolved! I had to enable dev mode and everything and nothing had worked so far thank you!

Thank you to @Rabir Parmar in the comments, got my Oculus Quest to FINALLY show up. If the Quest is showing up as just Oculus Device in your Device Manager, go on the Owner Account in your Oculus (make sure it's plugged into your PC at this point), go to System, then go to Developer. (This Developer option is ONLY available on the Owner account), then under USB connections, enable USB Connection Dialog. Then simply unplug the USB, then plug it back in, and you should FINALLY get the message asking if you want to let your computer access the files. Allow it, and you should be good after that.

For me when I go into portable devices it shows a MTP USB device and doesn't show an oculus (this is when I have already accepted the PC to allow the files). Can someone help?
-
Thank you
-
IT WORKED IM SO HAPPY
-
If you only see MTP USB device: -Unplug the USB-C cable from your Quest 2 (if connected) -Hold the Power Button on your Quest 2 -Select Restart -Plug in your USB cable back into the Quest 2 and press Allow
-
Thnks bro
-
disable airlink, restart the quest 2 fully. if that doesnt help enable developer options (verify account, create organization)
-
After some experiments I have discovered if you don't get portable devices to pop up its because you either don't have confirm USB dialogs on in developer settings of your quest, or your not on the owners account of the quest, sometimes on a secondary account you can't access the quest files on a pc
-
Hey portable devices never came up?
