In this video I'm going to teach you how to get your rabbit to like you. There are a few ways that you can gain your rabbit's trust which I will demonstrate. Milky is my most skiddish rabbit who HATES being touched in any way, I was shocked he even let me pet him for this video. Not all rabbits will learn to like human affection but these are just some tips to get your rabbit used to you.

1. Walk around them and ignore them
2. Lay down on the ground and let them come to you
3. Give them treats
4. Give them pats

How to get your rabbit to like you
Step 1: realize that your rabbit sees you as a vending machine
Step 2: let him/her dictate your schedule, ie: if your rabbit tells you to take up knitting, you do it
Step 3: collect his/her poop. then they'll know you mean business and want the senior executive position
Step 4: convince friends and family to also collect poop

I love how down to earth she is. She's not trying to put on a show and make it seem like her and her rabbits have a perfect lifestyle. I feel like so many rabbit youtubers leave the wrong impression by making it look like owning a rabbit will be easy and you'll never have possessions destroyed or any mess. Her videos really show what it's truly like to own a rabbit and the huge responsibility it is. I can definetly say all the trials and obstacles I've gone through to give my rabbits the best life possible was worth it. They don't have a perfect life but they are happy and healthy.

My bunny is starting to jump in my lap and eat his treats from my hand now. Before he wouldn’t bother. I’ve had him for a little less than a month and it’s really exciting to watch the process of them bonding with you and trusting you. The differences in a short time are so lovely and fills my heart with joy

Once I gained my bunnies trust, she was adorable! I’m happy your bunny has forgiven you for cutting his nails lmao

We have two bunnies and the other one is super affectionate basically with everyone he meets. He's like "Oh, a new friend!" and flops on their feet.
But when we first got him, at day 3 he managed to get a piece of tape stuck on the sole of his foot from a cardboard box. So I took it off (held on to the tape as he hopped away) and a little bit of fur stuck to it and it apparently hurt him. He turned and looked at me with shock in his eyes, thumping his feet. "HOW COULD YOU?! I TRUSTED YOU!!" was his reaction. :D
He kept looking at me, thumping his feet on the ground and wouldn't let me pet him. So I decided that he probably needs some space, but he kept following me around, thumping his feet, staring at me. The little fella made me feel really bad. After he had really made sure I knew never to take pieces of tape from the soles of his feet away ever again, he finally let me pet him and then very visibly kept licking the sole of his feet like "this is where it hurt. This is where you hurt me. Right here." in front of me. :D
After that, we haven't had any problems.

Milky is sooooo cute! 💕 My girl is extremely shy, I thought that she would never let me pet her. After four years, though, I was blown away that she finally started to trust me and let me pet her. Now she loves petting and trusts me 100%, she never gets scared anymore. It's totally mind blowing. I'm so grateful to her, she's just the sweetest little thing.

My bun literally doesn't leave me alone. She will honk, circle and follow you everywhere (my mum mostly because she's always the favourite)

Awwwww. You got the trusting flop onto the side! How adorable.
  • Im watching a bunch of videos to learn how to gain my Bf’s rabbit’s trust but now I really want a rabbit

You made a great point that bunnies aren’t cuddly like dogs and cats. They are skittish; some are more than others. ALL pets have some drawbacks but if you can accept them, then I think bunnies are great, quiet pets.

It's hard when you are the one who grooms them and clips their claws, the only one who really bugs them, but you are still their bestie, too.

It was so cute when you said "like Milkly because he's mis-under-stood" I'm lying on the floor next to my new rabbit while I watch this video. I've found it to be helpful- thank you!

How cool that Milky flopped after you touched him, that shows a lot of trust!

Thank you so much for taking care of these rabbits properly! And especially good job - you’ve put them in pairs and their free roam :) You don’t know how much that means to them
  • I got a rescue bunny who was neglected all his life (3 years) and he is terrified of humans. It's been 6 months but super slowly he has begun to trust me. He even let's me pet him sometimes now! Thank you for this video<3
