Haunted Mansion Holiday Returns with Surprises

Haunted Mansion has returned from a six month refurbishment today… in Holiday clothes. Although queue enhancements are still underway and the construction of an exit gift shop, a virtual queue system is being used for guest to enter the attraction. The front of the Mansion looks almost as you remember it from before, but the hearse has been relocated and new Lightning Lane touch points have been added near the front steps of the Mansion. Inside, things look brighter, new figures are in the attic, and the ghosts who follow you home (as presents during the holidays), are now projected (although they look very much like they did before).

The changes are very subtle (Besides a New Gingerbread house). Maybe that's a good thing. Don't wanna ruin a great classic Attraction. :)

Will they be able to construct the new shop/exit without closing the ride again especially with a new elevator needing to connect under the attraction to get above ground?

They never took down the Nightmare decor when they shut down the ride last year! 😝 Seriously… Disney has spent how many countless millions to refurbish the outside of Haunted Mansion… And, it’s still not finished. While the inside surprises and changes are completely underwhelming. Glad to see this popular ride open again for the end of summer. As so much of that area of the park is a complete mess. Geez… But really? Really? This almost looks like Disney was forced into an early opening just to save face. And, cut down on the massive crowds that part of the park is currently experiencing.
