There are certain 80's songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them.

I lost my wife to cancer about 4 years ago. Hearing this song reminds me of lying in bed with her late at night watching videos on MTV. We were young looking forward to our lives together. We never got to spend many of our golden years together though and I long for those good times back in the 80s. 🥺

Can we bring this back? This feeling? This music? This vibe. The world needs more of this

Easily one of the greatest songs of all time.

This reminds me of my friend Suzanne, she was my childhood best friend from the 80’s. She was a beautiful browned hair girl, with brown eyes. Pictures didn’t do her justice. We had so much fun together, and she was a stand up girl. Something I never was, and I looked up to her and felt safe around her. We got baptized together in the summer of 1988, I went right after her. And sadly, she was taken from this world on January 1, 2020 with her boyfriend she had been with for about 6 months. I just found this out on Jan 1 of this year. And 2024 hasn’t been the best year finding all this out. We were so close as kids. When she passed my dad passed and I wasn’t on Facebook a lot around that time. She’s all I have thought about this year. And I regret not reaching out to her more. That will always haunt me. But for now, I listen to this song and every song on Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation album. That was her first record, and we LOVED IT!! ❤️ I hope anyone reading this that knows pain knows that you aren’t alone and I love you. 💕

WOW!! Pure Legend!! I was fortunate to see him in atlanta ga 1982. My sister came to my house in 2023 and she had a hitlist saved into her phone. She gave me her pods and listen to all the songs she downloaded. Then "Eyes without a face" played. What a euphoric feeling!! I completely forgot about what and who the people were on my back porch. I closed my eyes and as Boston says "Drifted Away!! Beautiful ❤️❤️
