We nearly gave up. We weren't letting each other know how we felt. We held on to our anger. Even small things became reasons to end our relationship. But eventually we found a way to communicate our feelings through a couple questions game - lovify. Things finally settled down, and we now know a lot about each other:)

I got teary eyed listening to Bri because I definitely understand getting through that first year and really registering that this person is not here to hurt me but love me and I’m in my own way. And then finding your way through together. It’s really a beautiful thing tho

Omg I felt what Bri said so much I had the same upbringing and it’s like when it comes to communicating we just shut down or be on defense. But it really takes time to grow and break from it! I loved this episode it’s actually opening my eyes to a lot🙌🏾

I relate so much to Bri! I think we were raised in similar households (just from her brief explanation in the video) and I'm struggling with communicating how I feel in my current relationship. It's hard re-learning how to express myself.

I Love that y’all was patient with each other and was willing to put in the work to make it work. At lot of people tend to end things prematurely.
  • Me and my husband Travis Michaud need prayers for our communication issues. I actually have a communication disorder disability. It's listening and applying what I hear to my life and expressing my thoughts and feelings appropriately. I have had this problem all of my life. His problems are with temper and anger issues. We love each other but each of us have a different disability and it makes communicating difficult.
  • Omg awe Bre & Dre thank y’all so much for the shout out! I appreciate y’all continuing to share your story. I felt so welcomed and loved at the event. Looking forward to further connecting through my ShamelessMe membership 💗

Thank you for sharing! It was very nice hearing this from both male and female perspectives! I been struggling with communication effectively with my partner and will take this into consideration and begin to practice changing my choice of words and tone ! 🙌🏾
  • Love the intro and the music that fades away after some time. Just gives me the good vibes to listen to y’all’s advice.❤

Note: it’s important to note that once you stated your love language was touch, but you can’t just do that one thing… I like he continued all the others things we need in a mate!

This is such a great episode! I think it’s also important to practice healthy communication in platonic relationships too. I’m not currently dating or entertaining anyone, but I’m really excited to practice these tips with my friends and family. x

I love that principle your mom allowed! All parents should do that! I also feel every child or adult should participate in a debate class

I feel dre, I find it challenging to feel enthusiastic about celebrating occasions like Christmas and birthdays because I don't have many material desires or needs. My girlfriend, however, wants to give me a thoughtful gift, and I'm having trouble coming up with ideas. This situation can sometimes make her feel disheartened.
