why is the pinned comment always so dumb?

My grandma accidentally taped over the VHS of my birth with an episode of Lost and caused lifetime resentment of Lost inside my mother

Some guy: "Yeah I'm in the orchestra for Lost" Me: "Oh cool, what instrument did you play?" Him: "The gurney flaps"
  • I decided to watch Lost because of this video. I just finished the show and was sobbing at the ending. Personally, I don't know how they could have made it more emotionally satisfying.

My dad said to me one night while I was ranting about the state of modern TV and media: "You know a good show you would love? Lost." He then proceeded to spoil 1 major line, a major character, and a key element of the show, so I made him put on the first episode just to see if it was up to snuff. Fast-forward to now: We're finishing season 4 tomorrow. This show has steadily climbed to the top of my "Favorite TV Show" list, and I can't wait for it to be over so I can think about it for the rest of my life.

“You can’t wear jeans on the beach! I’d rather die!” Spoken like a true Florida man.

Seeing as Riverdale is a thing that exists, I can no longer comfortably say any show has gone off the rails unless its reached Riverdale's level of absolute insanity.

This video single handedly responsible for thousands of new LOST fans. As a long time LOST fan, thank you. To me , it's the best show ever.

I think something crazy about this show is that even if you watched it when it came out and never watched it again, you would still remember characters, names, and major events.

12:35 - "They somehow convinced ABC to spend an unheard of amount of money on the pilot." No, Drew. If they had spent that much money on a pilot, the plane would've never crashed.

My man really spent like 6 minutes recognizing how under appreciated of a composer Michael Giacchino is. Respect 👊🏻

At the bar a while back the bartender and I had been talking about our mutual love of Lost when she decided to put the show on. A lot of the bar joked about it and talked shit about it, but before the first part of the pilot was over, we'd turned off the jukebox and put the sound on. The people that had shit on it without really watching it much or at all were suddenly invested and asking me all sorts of questions. When I finally went home I think they were on episode 6.

I may be 2 years late, but I wanna say that this video is what finally pushed me to watch this show. My mom was pregnant with me while it was airing, and she used to tell me about how my dad would watch it while she went to bed early cause I had her up all night as a baby. She would mention the show a lot, how it was innovative and worked with flashbacks and forward flashes, always making me interested in it, but I never actually tried to watch it until I watched this video. I’ve now successfully completed the show, and I can truly consider it one of my favorite shows of all time. Thank you, Danny, for opening me up to Lost again.

Ah, the Arrested Development syndrome: Making a show that can only be truly watched as intended on a medium that didn't exist yet.

New title: "Michael Giacchino is underrated and also Lost exists"
  • @VioletEdgar
"Lost is a show that needs to be binged" I agree it works well binged, but my favorite part of watching Lost as it came out was the theorycrafting, the podcasts that analyzed every frame of the episode to find all the little clues and Easter eggs and (more often than not) red herrings that the show provided. Granted the months-long hiatuses were killer, but the community that loved Lost really flourished because of the weekly nature of the show, not in spite of it.

Lost is my favorite show of all time. It’s so weird and perfect and makes me cry like a baby every time. One of those shows that only gets better the more times you watch it. Nothing will ever come close for me.
  • The way he said “They’re all kind if lost in their own ways” made me think that Kurtis Conner had possessed him for those 3 seconds

To this day, I unapologetically LOVE this show. It's difficult to convey how much impact it's had on me.
