Watson (Cat) was not impressed when Solomon the Samoyed came home for the first time, but after 11 weeks or so he accepted him :-)
For those that have asked:
He WAS on a 'proper' raw food diet, by proper I mean he was getting all the nutrients needed, including pig's pancreas (as many people think you can just use a bits of chicken and beef and think this is sufficient...it is not). Unfortunately for Solomon we noticed he was licking his leg a lot so we got several blood tests, an allergy test and an ultra sound done and it confirmed he had an inflamed Pancreas due to allergies. We didn't realise but it turned out he is allergic to Lamb, Salmon, Turkey, Pork, Duck and Rabbit. We had been feeding him all this, so it was lucky we got the tests done, and costed almost £2000 in total doing so. (Thank you Insurance).
He is now being fed ROYAL CANIN GASTRO INTESTINAL LOW FAT DIET food. A mixture of wet food and biscuits, and he now has to stay on this for the foreseeable future. His Pancreas is back to normal and his bloods/nutrient levels are all good :-)
He also really likes Bovril on Toast (just a small corner piece in the morning) and he shares a Steak with me when I have one.

Very sweet! I love how gentle your dog is in his attempts to play, and how he backs away and sits sometimes. Even as a little puppy he seems to have some sense that he needs to stay back a little and not jump right on the cat. He's very charming :).

2:45, a cat doesnt show its belly unless its very secure in its surroundings. At this point, they were already friends.

This is way too cute. All he wanted to do was become friends with the cat. Ignored. And then they grew to love each other. This was so beautiful to watch.

Samoyeds and cats get along so well. My first boy adored his cat friends and lived with a house full of them until he passed at age 13. I just got a new Sammy rescue, and she's also getting along very well with the kitties. They're a very gentle breed, and beautiful. Oh so beautiful.
