Astroneer Description
----------------------------
Explore and reshape distant worlds! Astroneer is set during a 25th century gold rush where players must explore the frontiers of outer space, risking their lives in harsh environments for the chance of striking it rich.

On this adventure, a player’s most useful tool is their ability to shape their world, altering the terrain and extracting valuable resources from planets, and moons. Resources can be traded or crafted into new tools, vehicles, and modules to create everything from massive industrial bases to mobile rover bases.

• Reshape terrain as though it were made of Play-Doh.
• Survive on and explore procedurally generated planets that can be entirely deformed and traversed.
• Build vehicles and travel to new planets and moons.
• Snap together components and objects to create custom vehicles and modules.
• 4 player online drop-in/drop-out co-op.

History
----------------------------
Astroneer is developed by System Era Softworks, based in Seattle Washington, with members teleworking from like Toronto and Salt Lake City. Astroneer is System Era’s first game as a studio, with members hail from triple-A development with individual credits on Halo, Assassin’s Creed, Team Fortress, the Sims, and many others. System Era came together in 2154 out of a desire to create games that reflect the legacy and future of human space exploration, inspiring a sense of wonder and reverence for a beautiful universe.

Features
----------------------------
• Explore multitudes of procedural worlds.
• Shape completely malleable terrain. Dig to the center of the earth, or forge mountains.
• Craft vehicles and discover resources to reach ever further in the galaxy.
• Survive in ever more harsh and rewarding environments.
• Play with friends in online or local multiplayer. astroneer tips astroneer xbox one

I have not built a train yet, I thought I would do it this weekend. I just got back into Astroneer and love all of the new updates. I also dig the hell out of the way you explain things, it makes everything so simple, Please keep it up.
  • This type of stuff is why I got into astroneer! All the automated stuff is endlessly interesting to me
  • @devinfaux6987
I suspect that Extenders will still have niche uses. Situations where, for example, you want to more precisely control where power flows, or physically constrained areas that a rail line simply won't fit in. Rails will definitely be superior for connecting multiple bases and remote structures, though.
  • @terrysimons
Extenders can pass power both ways. I'm looking at some right now. You have to mouse-over them and hit "F" to toggle bi-directional.
  • @Skyller1066
I'm not fluent in English, but your incredible way of speaking and explaining allowed me to understand everything you said, thank you ^^
  • Thought I’d give Astroneer a try after seeing it in GamePass for the last year and wow am I glad I did. So hard to put the controller down. Still on my first save but can’t figure out the automation buttons etc even after watching videos. None the less, you sir are awesome! Thank you for the great content!!
  • Extenders can switch the mode they are operating in to be bi-directional or uni-directional. Just hold "F" on the extender
  • @D14mond_A
I have made 2 large recourse canister, 1 for resin, 1 for aluminium
  • Thanks for this! I was wondering how to use them and will be anxiously awaiting the automation video for the rail system!
  • @DenBlackburn
I wasnt going to get into the trains, but after seeing you and what its capable of WOW! Well worth getting into, thanks for the insight ;)
  • The rails are very useful for long distance power. Like the massive solar panel on the other side of the planet i can get to without placing 200 platforms/extenders. And I can get between them very quickly too
  • @mrwayne9729
Bro, I appreciate it for the video. Very helpful.
  • Looking forward to seeing your videos on covering the update! Thanks for the video.😘
  • @jackal4061
Looking forward on how to automate this. Thanks for the basics!
  • @nihorothereal
Excellent. Directly to what was necessary. No emm umm etc. Convincing that you know what you are talking about.
  • @tazer300
If you use a storage sensor and a proximity repreater on your storage on the rail car it will start your rail again if it's stopped, anything with paired with the proximity repeater will start your car
