Mindjack review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Mindjack from Feel Plus and Square Enix for the Xbox 360. Mindjack is also available for the PlayStation 3. Mindjack is in a perpetual and haphazard rush to be clever. It tries to do so much interesting stuff for the sake of doing interesting stuff that it forgets to polish the core mechanics. You know, the boring components of a cover and shoot game...like the covering and shooting. Mindjack tells a dull story about a secret agent and some chick. You can wound enemies or even sentry robots and basically hack them to fight on your side. You can also swap consciousness with anyone on your side and fight with their bodies, instead. An interesting concept, but it's marred by poor execution. It's very hard to locate usable bodies, so the whole process becomes a disorienting mess. This video review features video gameplay footage of Mindjack for the Xbox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

I almost bought this at Sam's Club for $10.98, but I checked the prices at GameStop via my iPod Touch and noticed it was cheaper there. I'm glad to see a review of it.

Is it just me, or did Ghost in the Shell: SAC for the PS2 did mind jacking before MindJack? Granted, it was rarely used.

The concept of consciousness jumping reminds me of the Dreamcast title Maken X. Too bad people don't remember just how revolutionary many Dreamcast titles were.

Sounds like this game tried to juggle too many grenades while cooking them and they all blew up in the game's face.
