Among the best places to visit in Quito are the notable religious and gathering places of the city. San Francisco Church is most probably the most famous landmark in all of Quito while the Church of the Society of Jesus is known for its amazing interiors - and that's leaving out the marvelous Basilica Del Voto Nacional. The Virgin Of Quito is also another amazing place to visit, looking over the city from on high.
If you're looking to grab some peace and quiet around Quito then the city has some lovely parks and green spaces, among them is Itchimbia Park and surrounds while a trip to the Teleferiqo, with its great vantage point above the city, is a great daytrip to do away from the center of Quito itself.
Other points of interest in the city include the Middle of the world monument and some of the amazing museums alongside a daytrip out to see the volcanic highlights of the area.
