    Nick young was a solid player in his career playing the role teams gave him. He was put on the court to score and that’s what he did. It’s good to hear he’s still playing ball and looking for that NBA contract.

    I went to high school with Nick. I was a four year Varsity baseball player for Cleveland High. Graduated a year ahead of him. I beat one of his teammates in a 1 on 1 in basketball and that teammate told me to walk on and try out for the basketball team. Since I played baseball, I didn’t want to risk getting injured since that was my main sport and I was trying to get recruited. When I was 17, I worked at our local McDonald’s in Reseda. Nick came in one day and I took his order. All I was thinking was that he was going to the NBA. He had that swag even then like he was going to make the NBA. He knew it, I knew it, we all knew it at school. Fun times.

    Nick Young is an example of someone who was blessed with natural ability to play pro ball once he got there he didn't really care about winning titles he liked the limelight in Hollywood hanging out pro ball wasn't his first priority once he got there

    his biggest issue was he never committed to strength and conditioning. every year he lost a step. a player is suppose to be at their peak between the ages 27-32. and those were the times he was slow.

    They talked about him being past his prime but they picked up Carmelo Anthony they said he doesn't have any game left but look how many shity people are in the NBA today

    The main reason he never got another shot was because of his lack of work ethic. He didn't put in the work to keep himself physically at the level he needed especially as he got older. He got slow and he wasn't consistent enough to make up for the lack of effort.
