As a goth, I’ve been dying my hair black box dye since I was 16. It suits me better than any colour as it makes my pale grey eyes pop. I’m here to represent the goths.

My extremely unprofessional tip regarding getting dye on your face & neck is to basically slather Vaseline around hairline and back of neck. That way the dye comes right off if you accidentally get any on you. :)

I've been blue-black box dying my hair for years, with great results. It's always deep and inky and suits me really well. I feel like anything lighter makes me look mousey and bland. The inky blue gives it a really nice shine.

I actually love the black box dye look. How deep black it is. Every time I get it done blackest black at the salon, there’s always other color hues like red when I’m in the sun.

I’m black and my hair has always been black with a brown tint in the sun… but once I discovered blue black box dye…. What a game changer… but I don’t think I was the targeted audience for this video 😂 but everyone looked absolutely stunning 😍

For real, your explanation of why you'd choose permanent vs semi/demi-permanent made my brain explode a little. I never really understood when you'd choose which type of color, but the lift/no lift makes so much sense! Your explanation was so clear and concise and thank youuuuu!!

I used to dye my hair blue-black in the 90s and it looked amazing, so healthy and shiny! I’ve never had so many compliments on my hair 🖤

I used to always like my hair red, like bright vibrant red. One day I decided to dye my hair black just to see how it looked. I will never dye it another colour; I LOVE it! Oh and my husband always does it for me. My husband. A software developer. He does a super job. 😊

Dude that revlon black dye is my FAVORITE. It’s soooo black doesn’t smell bad cheap and 1 box does my whole head and covers any greys... amazing hair dye

Listen. Sometimes we cant afford to spend $300 on a hairstylist and we need a change. So we go to the store and buy a $12 box of color and dye our dark brown hair black.

My tip for fellow box dye girls, is buy a box of latex gloves. The gloves that come in the box dye packages are absolute garbage. Way too large and horrible. The skin tight latex gloves make things so much easier to do. I also dye my eyebrows when I do my hair. My hair is fairly vibrant red and I get compliments on it a lot. I've colored it myself for decades.

As a black box dye girly, not all black box dyes are created equal. Shoutout to Nice and Easy BB2 because it’s the best on the market.

I love my mysterious witchy black cloak of hair🖤 That’s why I think it would be amazing if XMondo came out with an “onyx” or “obsidian” black colour depositing mask! It would fit with the gemstone/mineral marketing, and I would finally be able to toss out the box dye :)

Hi Brad 😊 a few years ago my late mother wanted me to dye her hair brown she was 94 when she passed well i got her ready with a towel around her when i got the colour to mix up i said oh i can't do it mother its black! She said i know it was only £1 so I got it! I went ahead and oh my god it was blacker than a chimney back.lol she looked in the mirror and said seriously i always loved Elvis Presley black hair 😅 we had a good laugh
