    Hey, man! This was so useful. Thanks a lot for sharing the info. In my case, the second option was the one that worked for me. I just cleared the file explorer history and that was it.

    widows updates? Is that what it needed? It updated. I hope this does not corrupt my files like last time I had everything hidden.

    What about a computer that is higher end? Like an i9 9th gen with 32gb RAM? what causes this problem? every fix is just freeing up space, is there an actual fix to this issue if it isnt a space or settings issue?

    Ok this is the problem i have when i open up file explorer it just doesn't show but when i do alt tab it shows the window when i click on it it doesn't do anything you know how?

    On to tip #3 and I'm thinking I need a break. Is this common to get very DRAINED in trying to find a solution for technical issues for a computer one uses to GET A JOB? Tip 3 seems excessive to me. What happens if one only clicks on restore defaults and that's it and does not do the other steps? Does it mess something else up further? Cuz tip 1 2 and 3 did not work at all. Now I need to write a cover letter in the body of the email itself.

    only the verified files i can view but when i view download file its not verified by the way it just says not responding then i csnt access my files

    Tried tip 1 half an hour ago. It didn't work. I was going to see if I could unhide the files and I can't do that since If I go into file explorer to unhide something it's not the documents I need to unhide. It's only 2 cover letters I need to unhide and I unhiding them - did nothing. I rebooted my computer. That did not work. Now I'm waiting for Windows to "update". I think it didn't update at all.
