All you need is a nut large enough to prevent the sprocket from spinning to jam it up. Out of all the places to jam a nut, you are best off jamming it towards the magneto case as there is more material there to prevent you taking a chunk out of your case.

Stop rocking chain tensioner I never use them and I never had a problem ever since but when I did use them always had a problem

Impact gun, channelocks, puller, hammer, and a couple hours of time. Thats how i do it

I did this and cracked off a chunk of the case between the two mounting holes for the clutch arm door thank god I didn’t crack the mounting holes just put a screw driver between the drive gear and clutch gear and take sprocket off then take the drive gear and clutch gear off
