EU isn't buying Russian oil but they are buying Russian oil through middlemen at sky-high prices.

EU refuse to buy Russian oil @ more than US$60. And Russia refused to sell oil at US$60, but sell it at US$70 to Japan, discounted at from current market price of USS80. Japan has the competitive advantages over their Western Allies.
