As a deaf person, watching the sign language interpreter was phenomenal. He didn’t translate the lyrics word for word, he showed the underlying emotion of the song through sign. That’s one of the most amazing things about translating songs into sign, you see another layer of the song’s emotion in how one chooses to translate it.

She's a goddamn genius to even come up with such a weird concept, and finding a guy that can pull it off and make it sincere and not gimmicky in the slightest. A voice without face and a face without voice, hauntingly beautiful.

Sia is the epitome of an artist. Her ability to turn personal trauma into art is sublime.

She has the most beautiful voice ive ever heard. The way it splits and cracks soaked in emotion which some may perceive as imperfections actually make it raw and unique. Perfect. A famous Mancunian once said: "True perfection has to be imperfect, I know that that sounds foolish but its true" I agree.

I don't understand how her voice breaks can sound so good.

chandelier is actually a really difficult song to sing
  • I feel like even if this song is in your range, it’s still damn near impossible to match Sia. The vocal fry/cracks/squeaks she uses make the song so emotional and unique to her
  • Sia wrote powerful songs, I am experiencing some type of loneliness in my life but every time I listen to her songs they all make me feel stronger. Thank you for the music.
  • I'm a grown man and this woman never ceases to bring me to tears. What an amazing gift her voice and message is.

I love when her voice cracks, it's one of the most beautiful things in the world

As a deaf person, this is the reason why i appreciate artists like this. People who actually take the time to make sure everyone get's to enjoy music equally!  Even if your deaf, people can hear the vibrations of the songs.

the fact that she sounds that good in an SNL performance 💔 it shows the real voice of the singer
  • when my mom saw this on SNL (she's deaf) she was super hype and said "I feel the pain."( in sign language of course)

She definitely will survive the BirdBox challenge :)
  • Who are these 4.8K people without a soul? This is triple amazing: 1) Sia sings so beautifully in real life. How many hit-singers of today can really do that? 2) This is such a beautiful song. It stands the ultimate test. No electronics. Just a singer, a piano and violins. 3) The mime..... No words. Just utterly moved. A godgiven talent!

There are two types of people in the world, those who love SIA and those who haven't heard.
