Juliett mentioned below but Mike Haddock’s trick is also to save all the dust and debris from where you cleaned out the cracks (not the big stuff) and sprinkle onto the new surface before it dries. Otherwise, it will always be lighter in color.
-
Thank you. Super helpful for those of us in older homes where the concrete is starting to deteriorate.
-
That last rock shape, sooo creative. Love it. Not hard to do and I might try it.
-
Started following. I love how you take it a "step further"! Wow great ideas. Thank you for sharing😊

Another awesome video. I plan on using this method to fix up my so so dry pour slab attempt. Had a really rough time getting the edging to look good, but had way too much rock I couldn't get rid of.

Love this series! ep 1: "How to dry pour concrete" ep 2: "How to fix cracks in concrete" 😆

Brilliant job mate

Excellent video for diying repairs to cracked concrete. For the slight mismatch in the final overall concrete color on the slab, Mike Haduck's "dirt trick" should work. You basically rub or brush on a bit of the surrounding dirt from the ground surrounding the slab. This helps to blend the new with the existing.
-
Great job man! I have a concrete slab for my shed. Much of the exposed surface flaked or spalled off and it looks terrible. I am going to try this stuff like a spackle coating to repair it. I hate spackling lol.
-
Awesome video. I learned a couple new things with this!
-
Awesome. Doing rock texture on a bathroom-cave I made, I had really good results vigorously wet brushing back and forth with a chip brush when it was about half-hard. Kinda like how painters do dry brushing. It gave it a really smooth and weathered rock sort of look. Wish I had known about the cement-all at the time, that would have been very helpful.
-
You are awesome, Michael. Keep up the great work!

Just followed the channel, have a concrete drive and I think I am going to attempt to patch cracks rather than get a new driveway done. Thanks for the heads up on the product.
-
Nice video. Just what I needed! TYVM

Thanks so much to you and to Cement All for such a fun, informative video... I learned a new word today- parge!

Michael, you’re the best! I’m so happy you screwed up that pad because you now have schooled me on the repairs. My first project this spring is to repair a badly cracked & chipped sidewalk just outside of my back door. And then the bonus tip for making a cinder block wall attractive is gold. When you showed different ways to finish those sample walls last year was a bit intimidating for this novice. But tossing balls? THAT I can do. Let me know if your neighbor’s house goes up for sale ‘cuz I’ll be moving in. 😃
-
Oh my goodness, I just saw a wall like this at a restaurant I went too and I wondered how the heck it was done and if I could do it too. Awesome.
-
Nice job. I have two cracks to patch.👍🏻
-
Cool video. I use Cement All to make Concrete Candle Vessels.

Yeah, can't wait to see the end results of the dry pour!!
