How A Free Spirit Came To Christ Jesus -- And Then Backslid for 30 Years

Published 2023-11-22
My story is such a very long one, spanning close to 70 years. Here I did my best to give the highlights of my witness for Jesus Christ. After hanging by a thread for 30 years after FINALLY by His mercy the scales were off my eyes, I am eternally grateful for His patience, love, protection, understanding and mercy! My plans? To spend the rest of my life praising His name! I worried my previous testimony videos were much too long and there were too many and I may have repeated myself as well, so I replaced all those with this video.

REGARDING THE BIBLES: People can and do find good instruction in the King James Bible (KJV). God knows how to turn anything meant for evil to the good for those called to his purpose, and this has been very true for the KJV. I personally have several or more copies of the KJV myself. I was excited to learn about the Geneva Bible, which was not printed in English with MODERN lettering and spellings until 2006 (as far as I know) by Tolle Lege. The first printing from 1560 is good to have if you can deal with the difficulties in reading it, but the fact that it was not made available in a way easier to read for so long just shows me, again, how suppressed that bible has been! In fact, at first Tolle Lege printed a number of Geneva 1599 bibles in 2006 and beyond, but in the past 5-7 years they are NOT being printed so much anymore and are harder to find. I did discover that one can buy the "Patriot's Edition" -- new and I believe at its original price (no scalping) at GenevaBible.com. But even that ONE edition they have available is currently backordered as of this writing. They can also be found on eBay (but mostly used). The thing I don't like about only the "Patriot's Edition" being apparently the only Tolle Lege version available is because I don't know what is being claimed about the founding fathers of the U.S. I have learned that it was not at all the way we have been told -- and I'd just rather that sort of thing being left out of bibles. But that's just me.

There are other good Bibles, but from what I have seen is that there are some mistranslations of certain words in just about every Bible I have seen. There are some written to fit the doctrines of some cult-like organizations that change the Bible in bigger ways -- from the Catholic bibles to the Jehovah's Witness Bible (called The World Translation), and more. It is nice to have around some different Bibles to compare sometimes, and I like having the Amplified Bible to look at and some others. To be a GOOD Bible I believe it is important that it be worked on by groups of people and not just one author (examples being The Message, The Passion of Christ bible, and a number of others). If you just get a decent Bible then if there is a verse you question, I encourage you to research what other Bibles have given as translations of that same verse. It can be very helpful. I use the free website "Bible Gateway" for that a lot. There are probably better ones, but that's my go-to. From what I hear the Blue Letter Bible is very good. I also highly recommend learning of what researchers who are a team of believers have discovered about that we have been lied to about in regard to biblical history -- the the YouTube channel THE GOD CULTURE.

Thanks again if you managed to listen to the whole video. I pray it will be of help or use to someone,. And like I said, I had to leave out a LOT of things -- so please post and let me know if you would like me to talk about things I didn't really get into.

God bless -- in Jesus' holy name!

  • HALLELUYAH! ❤️🙌❤️ Such a wonderful testimony to the glory of God! I found your channel because I liked your comment on a video I was watching of Martyn Iles from Answers In Genesis. "WholeBibleBelieverWoman" caught my attention because that what I am too! 😊 Thank you for your brief introduction to the Geneva Bible. I will look into it. I have noticed a few things in the KJV that just don't line up with the Hebrew and Greek. I prefer the NKJV for daily reading but I study other translations and compare them to the Hebrew and Greek. Some of your testimony reminds me of Angela from the Heaven and Healing Podcast. I love that she's only been a Christian for a couple years, but she's learned more Gospel Truth than I learned over most of my life! Thanks for sharing your testimony! I just subscribed, and I look forward to watching more of your videos in the near future. God bless you! 💖🙏💖
  • Correction: I get "mind burps" at this age. I said my grandmother was the only person I knew in the town in which she lived. Not true. My biological mother and her family lived in that town too -- although it was not like I really "knew" them. I did get to know them a little bit while I was there after being away from my mother for nearly all my life since I was 8 years old. I left out my dabbling in the occult, beliefs I had and also how I had accepted Jesus "in my heart" during one year my brother and I lived away from our father -- but was not allowed to get baptized and my interest at the time was to make my biological father proud of me so I dropped the idea and got into researching the occult. Lastly, I do NOT mean to negate the KJV Bible -- but pointing out that it may not be quite what we had thought of it as. God uses anything meant for evil for the good to those who are called to His purpose. I just find it very exciting to find a bible written before the KJV by people so dedicated to the gospel and to getting the Word into the hands of the common people -- which it had NOT been before -- that they risked their very lives to accomplish that task (and at least some of them WERE killed for it).
