Clay is my favourite assassin, he lived a wretched life because of his dedication to assassins, got tortured and then commited suicide. If he lived and Lucy didn't sold out to Templars, Desmond would have lived and it would be different

Did you know that in Ac1, if you pay attention, Altair was the only one who had 9 finger ( left ring finger was amputated) while the rest of the assassin's (included al mualim) had 10 finger ( left ring finger were intact) ?

You can also see Clay's messages in Assassin's Creed III in that part where you chase Daniel Cross. When Cross leaves the room where the Animus is, activate Eagle Vision to see the hidden messages.
